Maternity leave claim since April

v applied for maternity claim in April 2016 on the 3rd n i was told my papers had no problem and I should come n check the next month on a given date, since then iv been going every month and being told that my ui-29 and ui-27 has not been captured. It's December now and still same story, i was told that at my payroll has been open which makes things difficult, my problem is I went to work on the 1st of August I went back to work and yes the payroll was open because i couldn't work without pay, between April and August why was my papers not being captured cos at soshanguve labour department after 12 they tell u to back home as they capture papers...y is mine not captured till today and the lady who was helping me I think is Noma was acting as if I'm crazy she is not helpful at all, i even asked for the manager and she said ahe is on lunch i should just go home and through my paper on the desk, she blamed my employer (edcon) for opening payroll ..I'm tired of cueing for hrs for 8months..y r we paying uif if we gonna suffer like this...

Maternity Benefit / Bad Service

My complaint is no different , I also applied in August but still haven't had anything from you guys.

To make it worse I went to you branch in Soweto Orlando and I was disrespected.

I spoke to the manager named Sipho Mthethwa who said I should send him an email and Cc Sonwabile and they will get back to me.

It's been 3days, no call from them , no response nothing.
I sent 5 emails already I even ccd the labour complains department but no one has been in contact with me.

It's disappointing that such behavior is accepted.
It's disappointing that our complains are not being dealt with and resolved accordingly.
It's disappointing that a man can frighten you in front of his manager and his manager doesn't do anything about it.

Who do we speak to that will take us serious , where do we go?
Is this what it is? We complain and nothing gets done,

If that's the case then why do you have the complains department, I mean if the complains are not addressed and resolved it's pointless to have that department.

Uif martenity claim

I submitted my uif claim online in September, till today my claim has not been processed, I faxed all documents requested they kept saying they did not receive them, till I went to the branch on the 9 November with documents in hand, she scanned all of them and sent email to the head office for them to process my claim but till today no response from the head office, I have been going there every week and calling, now here at the branch they say they can't do anything with this claim as its sitting with an assessor at the head office.
1. Why introduce something to the public that does not work ( lady at the branch said all online claims they end up come to them to finish)
2. Now they have my documents, what's the hold up?

Its really a shame that we depend on these people in time of need.

Orlando is not helpful

I called Orlando branch and spoke to a guy whom he said I must give him my ID number and cell phone number he will check and call me back. I told him that I did call the previous week and no one called. He promised to call. After an hour I called again and spoke to him he said "you just called a few minutes ago so why call again because I told you that I will call you" I then told him that I am Maponya so I want to know so that if the problem needs me to get in there to do so. He said I will call you today. I asked him that even if it is 14H00 O'clock he still gonna call he said ya I will call you at 14H00 O'clock. He then dropped the phone hence I told him that I want to get consult Maponya branch if the problem needs me to get in there. He is the same guy whom I spoke to the previous week and again he did the same thing as he did not call at all.

UIF benifits not paid

I have submitted ll neccesary documents nd filled in s per the person at the DOL, I received this SMS: Dear GARTH ENSLIN. UIF Request for Payment received. Finalization of payment is 7-10 days. Enquiries contact local Labour Centre . Case No : 10005609360
Its been over the 13 days and still no payment, I went to query but all they tell me its been cancelled with no valid reason or explnation given.

My claim was rejected.

I had paid in a total of 23 years to the fund. I got laid off on the 18/10/2016.
I suwbmitted my application and was rejected via SMS. Only a case Nr.10005539243
After spending hours trying to get all the relevant details to submit my application.

Here is my question, how is it possible to reject once application after meeting all criteria?
Instead of going out and looking for work. I need to spend my hours if not days to follow up in trying to get what's is rightfully mine.

Please advise to what my possible next step could be. It can't be as simple as an SMS to discourage one from the Unemployment insurance fund

My claim was rejected.

maternity benefits

I applied for maternity benefits on the 1st of November 2016 and was told to bring the baby birth certificate of which I did on the 25 November 2016.the problem is they say I must come check on the 4th of January 2017.how will I get by?my rent is due on the 1st..baby needs formula and nappies.This people don't seem to care after newly mothers..i mean going to labour now and then with a small baby..this is poor service from our labour department. maternity uif

I submitted my maternity UIF claim on the 10th of October 2016.Upon submission I was told all documents were verified and are okay I must bring the birth certificate when the baby is born .I gave birth on the 20th of October and submitted the birth certificate on the 24th of October. On the 7th of November 2016 I phoned the department and was told my documents were not scanned as yet I must phone after 10day,Its now the 24th and am still told I must call after 10days to follow up,I don't have any income to support myself and the baby the list they can do is inform me why there's a hold up. My case number is 10005337389.

UIF claim

Hi
I have submitted a claim via Ufiling and also in Pretoria via an agent in March/July 2016. Claim number 10004594522.After repeated emails, phone calls received sms claim rejected - no reason given. Appeal lodged via efiling sms giving reference number it was received. No feedback again - ufiling now has record reflected appeal cancelled by user - no appeal was cancelled and no feedback ever given. I am not hopeful even now submitting a complaint on this site that it will be looked at going on all the issues here.

What other recourses are there? Our companies pay UIF, deduct from our salary and yet claims are not honoured and all these people have to wait and left at the mercy of admin processes and short ended and battling immaterial how little money they get.

UIF PAYMENT

I MR. A.T. GABRIEL HAVE BEEN SIGNING FOR MY UIF AFTER BEING RETRENCHED DURING MARCH THIS YEAR. I RECEIVED ABOUT +- 3 PAYMENTS AND THEN RECEIVED A LETTER STATING THAT I WAS OVER PAID AND NEED TO PAY BACK +- R2500 BACK TO THE DEPARTMENT. I THEN SENT A MAIL JUST LIKE THIS ONE AND WITHIN A FEW WEEKS A DEPOSIT WAS DONE INTO MY BANK ACCOUNT WHICH THE OWING MONEY BEING DEDUCTED FROM THE TOTAL. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT WAS I CHARGED FOR. I THEN MISSED MY SIGNING DATE DUE TO ME NOT BEING AT MY HOME DUE TO PERSONAL ISSUES WHICH WAS RELATED TO ME UNEMPLOYED SO I CALLED THE PHOENIX BRANCH INFORMING A GENTLEMAN OF THIS. HE THEN STATED THAT IT WAS OK. AFTER +- 3 MONTHS I WENT BACK HOME AS MY PERSONAL ISSUES WAS SORTED OUT, I WENT TO THE PHOENIX BRANCH ONLY TO BE SCOLDED AT AS TO WHY I DIDNT COME IN TO SIGN . I EXPLAINED MY SITUATION. I WAS THEN ASKED TO FILL IN AN AVIDAVIT STATING THE ABOVE AND THAT I WAS STILL UNEMPLOYED OF WHICH I DID. I WAS ASKED TO COME BACK IN A FEW WEEKS TIME FOR THE REPLY. I DID SO YESTERDAY AND WAS TOLD THAT MY APPLICATION HAD BEEN REJECTED. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY MY FUNDS ARE NOT BEING PAID TO ME AS I HAVE NEVER CLAIMED BEFORE LATE LAST YEAR.

PLEASE REPLY OR CONTACT ME URGENTLY AS I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON AND I CANT SEEM TO GET A REASONABLE ANSWER FROM THE STAFF AT THE PHOENIX BRANCH.

Maternity Leave claim

The services I got from the Department of Labour is very very poor . I visited their offices to collect maternity forms in August 2016 and summit my forms on the 21-10-2016 then I was told to come back on the 23-11-2016 ok no problem I came back now they are telling me that they are still busy with the papers from my employer which I emailed in August and September I must come back next January 2017 December is fully booked . Like really how do I survive I'm only getting a 3rd of my salary I have accounts to pay food to buy a new Baby who needs so many things , why are we treated like this I'm not happy at all or maybe we should expose them to the media so that we can get better services this is wrong very wrong .

Department of Labour Office - Pretoria

I am an engineer from Durban who has been trying to get hold of the Department of Labour (DoL) in Pretoria for the last month, daily and a few times with each number. I have been trying to get them to update my acceptance letter into the Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) examinations as DoL Pretoria are the only people in the country who can help me with this. I have tried the following numbers so far:

Nobody has picked-up their phones in these multiple times that I have called, not even once I think after more than 200 attempts at least. I then called the Durban office to ask for some assistance in getting through and was told that I would need to drive up (or fly) to Pretoria and address my application in person. Then why are we given these telephone numbers if we still need to travel such long distances to get helped by the department? I need to gain access to the Department please and soon as the year is coming to a close.

Unemployment

I made an application for uif (unemployment) and was told after been paid. After contacting the call centre i was told that I need to do a continuation of payment which did. The claim was cancelked by the pay master. i called again and was told by the call center agaim that I need to do a new application which I did in October 2016. I called the call centre again and was told that I should be paid by the 21st November 2016. I called the call center yesterday and was told that I should have not done a new application and do a continuetation which was done yet again yesterday. Today I check in the website and it us again cancelled by pay master. When I called I was told that it was wrong what I did and now have to wait again another 35 days cause bit hssvto go back to the assessor.

The call center is giving incorrect information to applicants and if that is not enough when you call you sometimes hold on fir an hour before anyone even answers. Now I need an explanation as to why I have beenbtokd by so many agents the incorrect information and when can I get help to sort this problem out.

Still not paid!!

I signed the fist time for payment, they paid afyer 5 workimg days.
I signed for the 2nd time the 14 November 2016, untill 23 November still not paid. I phoned the Labour centre, they jist replied to follow up again mext week?? How long can it take?

Payment Cancelled since September2016

Please can u help, bcos I have been send from pillar to post. My problem or should I say complain with Benoni Dpt of Labour, is that one of the Staff by the name of Harold is making a joke of me, he is forever eager to help me if I'm there but once I turn my back , I don't know he just forget about my payments. He keeps saying he will attend my complain with the paymaster but nothing has been done since September.

DELAY IN UIF APPLICATION

I visited your offices on the 23rd of September 2016 whereby all the required documents was submitted.
Then I received an sms stating that my application has been rejected.

I drove all the way to your offices on the 14th of October to double check if all is in order to find out what the problem might be, at your reception lady there said no I dont have to worry, that is a standard sms.

I phoned your offices on the 26th of October to make sure that I need to come sign on the 28th of October, in order to receive my first payment. Only to find that there still seemed to be a problem and that I will not be receiving any money on the 28th of October.

Once again I drove to your offices on the 27th of October with all the paperwork in order to sort out the difficulties that the capture clerks seem to have. Everything was re-looked by Julia Mashabela and she requested additional information due to the fact that I worked at one Group of Companies at 8 different entities over a period of 11 years and 7 months (one owner).

I went back to my employer asking for the relevant documents and to mail it to Julia Mashabela, the documents was send on the 31st of October from my employer to Julia and that very same day I went in to your offices to see Julia to inquire if all is now in order?
Julia acknowledged that finally all is in order but that I should give some time because there is a backlog at the capture department.
I respected that and only started phoning to follow-up on the 14th of November

I spoke to Julia on the 14th of November @ 12h07 whereby she said she will phone me back in a few minutes. However up until today I have not received any calls from her to update me on the situation.

I send another mail on the 14th of November @ 15h30. No response.

I send a mail on the 15th of November @ 10h28 requesting her to please provide me with feedback.
Julia replied back at 16h11 and said "I will do follow up tomorrow and give you feedback"

I send another mail on the 16th of November @ 16h15 requesting feedback. No response

I send another mail on the 17th of November @ 11h48 to please please just check on my id if all the columns show submitted and no further queries. No response

I find this very upsetting because we are talking about a person's life here.
I have had no income since the 2nd of September and have no where else to go.
I was given notice to vacate my home due to non-payment.
My medical aid has lapsed due to non-payment and I am Biopolar, I desperately need my medication.
I look after my 70 year old sick mother and we dont even have food.
I have been a UIF payer for the past 28 years.

PLEASE PLEASE, I URGE FROM YOU TO PLEASE ASSIST ME TO SORT OUT THIS MATTER IN ORDER FOR ME TO RECEIVE MONEY THE END OF NOVEMBER.

UIF Maternity

I have applied for benefits in July and I have visited the department at least 3 times for feedback and even received an SMS to say that my application has been received. My baby is now 8 months and did a follow up at the Phoenix branch since the one in town is closed. I was advised that my application was not processed and that I need to re-apply. This is unacceptable as I have been paying towards this fund for over 10 years and counting. This is what our country has come to. Seems like this is their plan. To wait for people to get fed up so that we don't fight for what belongs to us. Looking at all these other complaints- this is common. Does anyone respond or acknowledge our complaints. Will we eventually get our money or does it get eaten up like everything else in this country?????

Still waiting on a maternity claim !!!

To whom it may concern

I am struggling with my uif maternity claim from december last year. My daughter is over 9 months old and still no sms of approval.

I have emailed the supervisor Petunia Moloi Senior Supervisor: IRS and had no response. She is the one who put my application through after standing for 3 weeks in line to just get my application scanned in (always offline). I went back about 6 months ago and was told they off line i then went back about a week later and was told i needed an mp number which i got and then still no response i went back again and was told they needed my letter of service which i handed over the day i applied. But i then handed it in again. I was then told to give it a week i did and went back the following week to be asked yet again for my letter of service which i gave again. I then went back a month later coz i still had no response. To be asked again for my letter of service and was told that i did not have to go in but i could phone and follow up. Which i did a week later and was told by a women on the phone i must go and wait in line like everyone else. So i did the next day to be given a ui4 form to full in and told we are offline and i'll call you if we need anything still i did not hear from anyone or recieve an sms of approval. I then again a month later went back and was told that the people in germiston have not closed my file to say i have handed all documents and i must go back the following friday to Find out if my file has been closed i did but yet again i was told that they are offline and filled out another ui4 form. May i add when i tried to explain to the lady why i was there she was rude and told me they are offline and she will call if they need anything. So i went back last week wednesday the 9/11/2016 to be told the same thing that they need to close the file but to call anyone of the other branches to follow-up as their lines are down. So i called benoni there is a issue with their switchboard and they cant help. I eventually got through to alberton uif where a lovely lady helped me and explained i need to yet again give my letter of service and go back to uif boksburg and pick up a ui8 form to take to the bank coz my forms are out dated. I have started a new job and cannot keep taking off coz the workers at uif boksburg dont do their job properly. I am intitled to the claim as i worked for 5 years at the same company before i got pregnant snd been paying uif since i started working. I also took out a loan due to the fact i had things to pay and my uif was not paying out which i still need to pay back.

How do i now resolve this issue? If i keep on going back and forth i could lose my job and how do i then survive coz uif is still busy with a maternity claim almost a year now.

Payment

Good Day

I am a 27 year old single parent who is unemployed for the first time since my 1 year contract ended at Nedbank on 30 August 2016.

I submitted documents at the Maponya Mall department on 10 October, and went in to sign for first payment on 9 November 2016.

I was then paid an amount of R6000 on 16 November 2016.

I believe that this is not a sufficient amount, I have been contributing to MY UIF since 2008. I have never earned less than R9000 at any of the 4 companies that's have worked at since then.

My expenses are over R9000 and I have missed some payments for the month of September and October that I was waiting for UIF to be approved.

I feel that I did my part and that I am truly disappointed at the amount I received and I feel that I was to also be paid for September and October, therefore a triple amount.

This does not help me.with payments at all, I am behind on my child's school fees and car payments and she is starting Grade 1 in 2017, this means that I have to buy new uniforms and pay registration.

It is not my fault that my contract has ended and I have been actively job hunting daily. But I have never missed a.payment to the UIF find, where is all my money??? 8 years of payments????

Please assist professionally and without hidden agendas, stop acting like telling money belongs to you.

I hope this issue is resolved ASAP I don't have much time.

Claim cancelled

On the 29 sept i submitted all my documents to the uif department. Since then ive been calling the call centre to find out why the site says claim cancelled as documents not submitted. I called on the 29 sept and the last call was 4 november where both the agents said they would escalate because they see all the documents are already there I don't have to resend. I cslled the call centre afain today 15 november and the agent didnt want me to speak to her supervisor and said i muat log the claim again because a csncelled claim cant be escalated its pointlesd as the asessors wont bother looking at ut. Injury on duty

Good day,

I was injured Nov 2013 and was registered claim nom H3S009799. I gave in my final medical report and was told again to come back with my bank details. This was handed in.
I was told to wait 8 weeks and come back. I was their several time no answers can be given to me regarding status of claim.
Since then every time go to the office I am been told that the systems is offline. My number was taken and promised to phone me back no calls was received from the branch.
Plse can someone just assist me and if any info is needed to be handed in still.
I am getting tired of hearing the system is offline.

ufiling

I have submitted a maturnity claim and im sorry to say but no one in that department is of any help, you wait 20 min everytime you contact themI(6 calls) only for them to tel you they offline and all of them sound as if u disturbing them and they not interested in the question (just email the document).Thats all they say without listing to you.


I have emailed my ui19, ui2.7 and medical certificate a number of times but when i contact them they sayu i have to wait a week for them to see if the document has been received.

I am not using the incorrect email, i receive a automatic responce everytime i emal the documents.

one of your consultants just hanged the phone up becoz im asking questions
can someone who is interested in helping give me a call, i am getting no joy from the call centre
