glitches

I have spectrum, I am trying to watch ANY show on the on demand hallmark channel. They are all glitching and at least 3 seconds behind. This is terrible. How does this get fixed. Of the 4 movies I tired they are delayed and if I stop them then restart they are stuck on one scene while the voices continue into the movie. This is awful. Spectrum is not my favorite, but this glitch is just ugggh. I will find other movies to watch, but really why does this need to happen.

Mysteries

Please show the Perry Mason series, which Hallmark Mystery Channel used to air. Yes, it is an old series, but there was mystery to it. Also please consider showing the British programs The Saint with Roger Moore and The Avengers with Patrick McNamee and Diana Riggs. Those two programs are from the 1960s, so the content is not risqué compared to programs of today as Hallmark is concerned about its programming content.

Dialogue content

I am watching the season's last episode of The Good Witch. I was very disappointed that this is not a Christian channel. Martha's dialogue was as follows: "love is patient, love is kind, wherever that comes from". Well, for your information it is a verse from the Bible, 1 Corinthians chapter 13 verse 4.

Diversity

Why is there no ethnic diversity on the Hallmark Channel?. This country is diverse. Your channel should reflect the country. In addition why is everyone on your shows cut from the same fabric? Not everyone in America is skinny. What is the average size for women? Size 10-12. Your show doesn't reflect this. Christmas in July movies are utterly ridiculous so is one month of Christmas movies. The radio station(Sirius) I listen to have several special stations during holidays. They are usually two weeks and end the day after Christmas. Just enough to not get bored. Now, I only watch your mystery shows. If ethnic diversity is not added or if the people in your show continues to not reflect the American people. I will have to let them go also. Show some Asian, Hispanic, African-America mystery solvers.

Hallmark channels

Christmas in July, what a bogus excuse to barrage us with your junk holiday ads. We get sick enough of your shameful pushiness during the real holidays but this july crap has to go. I like Monk, Matlock and Diagnosis Murder, as well as Frasier, but that Good Witch satanism has to go! We do not believe witchcraft is good so if you put that on, I am gone. Catherine Bell's wigs are pitiful.

Diversity

Hi Hallmark.
In general, I love your shows on Hallmark and Hallmark Mystery channel. One of my favorites is The Good Witch. However, it is becoming increasingly annoying that there are rarely any minority actors even as supporting cast on your shows. I can't think of one character with a recurring or supporting role on "The Good Witch". I don't even see Black, Asian or Hispanic kids at Graces's school. Is Middleton void of non-whites? The theme is so uplifting & encouraging but there is no place I know of that is an all-white city/town. The Mystery Lady even had Philbee and the female Inn owner in supporting roles. Please give "The Good Witch" and your other series a couple of minority supporting characters we can love in recurring roles. I use to make it a policy to not watch any series which did not have characters which displayed the world we live in which has all races, the handicapped, diverse religions, etc..,. Please show us a world where everyone can identify with at least one character on your shows.

It would be awesome to have a minority in a lead role as there are many actors who are no longer making major movies or working on daytime series or nightime TV you could pull. Do this for all your series & movies to make them more believable and your fan base will increase. Thank you! Stephanie C.

My 2 cents

It seems to me that people working in Halmark Channels movies are people that have had long careers already and that agrees with the Halmark philosophy. Seems there aren't many minority actors and actresses that want to work for lower pay offered by Halmark Channel. It would be nice if things were different but they have to work with what they got.

My 2 cents....

It seems that most of actors and actresses at the recent movies on Hallmark Channel have had long careers may already be financially independent but want to keep working. They may not be making too much money but want to be involved. Maybe Hallmark channel may be looking for minority's actors and actresses to work there but their salary offer may not be competitive so people choose not to work there. Maybe the reason that they use the same actors it's because they are the only ones that have the same beliefs as the Halmark Channels and are happy with their type of pay scale.

A Movie with a Jewish Theme

I love your movies. Many are about Christmas especially during the season, before and after it. I noticed some are even in the summer which is odd but O.K.

Tonight I am watching the movie, "Loving Leah" on 9/28/2017 from 9 - 11 PM. I've seen this movie before and I've seen lots of other Hallmark movies more than once. They are often charming and non-violent. I love that.

Why am I writing to you? This may be the only movie you have with Jewish characters and in particular with a subject matter involving the Jewish religion. It is charming. However, why do you have to show Christmas commercials in July around the movie? Why do you need Gold Crown Christmas week in July? Are you afraid there are folks at the TV station, on the Board or in the audience that might object to the "Jewish movie"? It's a bit of an insult.

That is sad. Please don't take away what it says by doing that. There is nothing wrong with being Jewish. I am Jewish and I don't have a problem with movies of other religions. I like to learn about them. It would be nice if everyone felt the same way.

But mostly I like the spirituality in the movies even without the religion . . . you can have it all but why do it all at the same time? That is just confusing. It is also confusing why every 5 or 10 minutes there is a commercial during this movie.

By the way, what is it the Mission of the Hallmark Channel?

Diversity

Before I discovered this complaint form, I believed I would be the only one making a complaint about the lack of diversity. Boy, was I wrong. I think it is a shame that the Hallmark channel doesn't include all Americans in starring roles. Having minorities serve as supporting roles does not count. Minorities do all the same things that the characters in your movies do. They love, their family oriented, their resilient and hardworking and enjoy celebrating the holidays too. I am not seeing any portrayal of this in your programming. I've waited and waited to no avail. I am very disappointed in Hallmark. I am considering starting a social media campaign to bring more attention to this matter. Oh yeah, minorities are farmers too.

Lack of diversity

I enjoy your movies and the positive messages about family and love. My biggest issue is the complete lack of diversity in your movies over all and especially in the main characters.

I firmly believe your audience appeal and viewership would increase immensely it it was more inclusive. Love and good families exists in all colors.

Thanks

Wedding place #2

I watched the 1st movie with Jack Wagner & Jacklyn Bisset and it was quite good, but the one this Saturday night was simply terrible! The script was way off base and NO Where in the movie could I see any reason for them to be reunited as a couple. The dialogue was so foreign to the 1st movie that I was surprised it had an ending. Not your best work...........

Cedar Cove

We subscribe specifically to cable so we can get a few channels that we enjoy and Hallmark is one of our favorites. Cedar Cove was a terrific escape from all the violence on other channels. I would of course suggest adding more diversity with your actors. Its a shame that you cancelled it and I'm reading the books instead. I think it's clear that people want what you have as programming but with some tweaking. Stop listening to the focus groups etc, and listen to what people are taking the time to write.

More Diversity

I love watching Hallmark -- love stories, mysteries and Christmas shows. However, it doesn't make sense that you don't have more diverse cast. Other ethnic groups fall in love, enjoy Christmas and solve mysteries. Our world is not just Caucasian. I'd love to tune in and find that you've cast a lead character who was someone other than white. Are you only going for a white audience and don't care about how the rest of us feel?

I think you need to rethink your programming and add a show or two that we all can get behind.

Done with Hallmark

I've written Hallmark for three years running with no response. And from the online posts I've reviewed, I'm not alone. Hallmark has repeatedly acknowledged it's problem with lack of diversity, and in 2016 vowed to make improvements in 2017. But halfway thru the year, and I see none. I'm done, Hallmark. You had your chance, I'm moving on to Lifetime.

Movie: Aunt Mary 1979 Hallmark

One of the best movies I've ever seen, biographical or not. I would like to see it again, but Hallmark never sees fit to rerelease it, allow broadcast on a rerun channel, or whatever. Every few years I research it and find it's not available. Mary Dobkins as portrayed by Jean Stapleton, was a nationally significant American heroine. What is Hallmark's prejudice against this movie?! NF

Unhealthy Fantasy and Zero Diversity

It looks like the Hallmark channel is going to lose much of its audience with its zero diversity and unhealthy fantasy. More people are watching YouTube videos featuring regular people of all races and beliefs instead of Hallmark. This is what television should be: promoting diverse members from our population to act and tell their stories. Not every love story has a happy ending and those unhealthy fantasies need to be modified to represent the real world. That real world is missing from Hallmark shows which mislead our population into believing that perfect women and men find each other, that is perfect women and men of one race. Do yourselves a favor and replace Hallmark with YouTube videos from our down to earth neighbors from every race, class, and belief, so we can support real and sincere people instead of fake pretend self-serving actors.

Diversity

As a Christian I enjoy the programming on Hallmark Channel and Mysteries Channel
I feel comfortable viewing these channels when my children are around.
There are no surprises and the storylines are generally very innocent and loving.

However, as a multi-racial person I am surprised that this day and age none of the main characters are any other race.
There was once a movie with Meghan Markle who is obviously bi-racial - yet her parents were portrayed as white.
Why is there such an issue to portray an inter-racial relationship?

I do not mean to be blunt - but people of many different races fall in love every day with other races.
There is an asian couple or an african american couple now and then in the background .... or as friends.
Those can be mixed also! It happens!
The movies are cute the stories are sweet but it cannot be real to anyone if it does not depict all aspects of all people.
My children, my husband and I do not see ourselves on your channel.
Our world is huge - you should cater to ALL your viewers or risk losing alot of them.

Diversity

I love your Christmas movies and mystery shows but it is become disturbing that all of your lead characters are caucasian. America is supposed to be this great melting pot yet watching your channel one would think all other races are insignificant. As a result, I have stopped watching the hallmark movie channel and Christmas specials. Not only for the reason listed but also because I feel like your channel is not ment for the diverse viewing population.

Time for a change

Hello! I love this channel but I think there should be some changes. I'm tired of Murder She Wrote and Diagnosis Murder. I don't understand why Father Dowling Mysteries where removed when it wasn't on long but I wish you bring it back and have it on for more than 2 days a week. That would be great.
