Service and support

I went for a car service at honda botanic. The support given was very dissapointing. I have made appointment few days in advance but ending up waiting ~4 hours to get my car. No explanation given and no proper comfort facilities for a customer waiting so long.
This is really dissapointing. Afterall this is just a second service not major.

Gearbox problem

I have send my Honda city for repair because wile i drive suddenly the car was jerking and the place where its shows the gear status is showing different symbol and its very hard to drive my car with that jerking. The next day I bring my car to kajang branch and ask them to check what is the problem, since its on Saturday they ask me leave my car there for 2 days and they will check give me a call on Monday. Then they called me and inform me that there is a problem with the gearbox, I ask its just 1 year I bought the car and how come there is a problem. The service advisor advise me that , there might be a problem when they manufacture 10 cars. I ask why its only my car got problems and the advisor advise me that they will replace it. After a long arguments and I agree to replace the gearbox and they promise me will arrange me a temporary car for me within 3 days. For 3 weeks I give them a call and ask for the temporary car and the service advisor inform me that, their branch got no temporary car and he ask me to drive my car if I want to use car. Its too ridiculous, how am I going to drive a car with jerking and hard to move? I ask the advisor and he told me that he got no other options. I forget to tell in earlier that they promise to repair my car within 1 month. After 3 weeks I call them almost every single day to request a temporary car, they provide me a car. Almost for 3 weeks everyday I have to take Uber to go to my work. When they provide me the car, the advisor advise me that will repair my car within 1 weeks. But it's already going to 2 months, and they still telling me that Honda Malaysia got no stock for the gearbox. Honda is world known company and they still advise me that they got no stock for gearbox. Its didn't create any customer satisfaction. Its not a local company to tell me that got no stock, its Honda. Kindly provide me valid answer for this.

HZN Cars Sdn Bhd-Bad Technical Expertise

From day one that I bought my car (Honda Jazz V) in June 2015, I have been having problems with my car. I have made a complain to Honda Malaysia and it was supposedly rectified. This time, when i sent in my car for service, I mentioned to the service advisor that there was a knocking sound coming from the dashboard. The technician took me for a drive and unfortunately at that time the sound did not appear but another sound did appear on the passenger side of the dashboard. I told him to please take it for a drive again and check the sound in the middle of the dashboard. Also, in my first complain to Honda i had mentioned that my brakes were jerking everytime I pressed it. They told me it was normal and all the Jazz's have the same jerking with their brakes. This time they had to change all the brake pads and discs and they said it was faulty......lucky it was under warranty. I don't understand why they couldn't check it the first time I complained.
Back to the noise in the dashboard, I left my car there for 4 days and told them to please sort it all out. The answer was insulation has been done and there was no more sound. After taking the car and driving it for about an hour, the sound in the middle of the dashboard was back again. I called and made an appointment and asked for the same technician. Unfortunately, the technician was on leave (which I did not know about until I picked up my car). I left my car there for 2 days. Another technician said the sound has been fixed! The minute I drove home the sound was back and was even more louder than before! In the service paper, the comment made by the technician was " steering cover loose,rectified already". How the hell was the sound in the MIDDLE of the DASHBOARD connected to the steering cover??? I called the service advisor back and told him I wanted an Appointment this week but till now NO News! They are hopeless and Honda cars are just made of Plastic and rattle all the time! I regret ever buying a Honda car. Never again!

Scratched Interior Door Panel

Made an appointment at Honda Service Center (Kah Motor) Chan Sow Lin to rectify the problems below for my 1 month old Honda City E Spec:-

1. 'Tak..tak' noise when closing driver side door (FRT RHS). - service agent agreed it was an unusual noise and to be rectified.

2. Water vapour in front 2 headlights when raining/washing car. - not an issue according to the service agent and its normal for all cars. Really? Didn't have an issue with my 10 year old Toyota, 3 year old Proton and 8 year old Perodua.
Close to 12:00pm, my car was ready as the door sound was fixed. When I first opened my car door at the service center, noticed 'two deep scratches' on my door panel. Informed the service agent and he apologised and said they will be replacing a brand new door panel and it may take another 2-3 hours to perform the replacement. I told them to proceed with the replacement and waited for about an hour. At 1:00pm I was called me into the Service Bay Area, where they showed that they replaced with a brand new panel which they just took from the store. At first glance I knew it's not a brand new panel but more like used one with some minor scratches . They denied it was a new unit after some talking when them. There's nothing more I could do, therefore I left the service center. Then decided to post this on Honda Malaysia's Official Facebook page...
Does this how Honda Malaysia treats their customers? No doubt the door sound issue have been rectified but how about the damage done during the rectification? Shouldn't they be extra careful? Totally disappointed with Honda's service!!!

Honda Bangi - Bad serice

This is in regards with car which was serviced on last Saturday 29th October.

I gave my car for service at Bangi service center. Once the service was done, one of Honda employee accidentally locked himself out of the car leaving car keys on dashboard. They used few tools and wire to open the lock. In this process they damaged, paint, rubber seal of door, power windows and door lock at driver side. They acknowledged there mistake and promised to take care of the damage done.

Then later on the same day after service, we realized that alternator has been damaged/malfunctioning. Which resulted my car's battery to drain.

Now the issue is, even though issue happened while handling service, they are not ready to accept there fault and replace it. They are asking me to pay, shamelessly they are offering me 20% discount on the value of ALTERNATOR. I am not happy with the service, customer handling or anything for that matter.

Service level and tenical expe very low

I want to complaint about your dealer Honda authorized service center - BANTING STAR SDN BHD. My car had some problem , so I go there to repair, after they checked it, they give me a quotation cost me rm2600++. However when I take back my car on Friday, I just drive one day only, on Sunday , my car suddenly breakdown on middle of the road , can't start engine, before my car repair ,never had this kind of problem happen. After that, I go that service center ask them what is the reason suddenly breakdown on the road, after they checked ,they tell me is technical problem ,due to their staff not put battery cable back after they repair , once put it back , the problem should be gone. Unfortunately, on Monday when I know off from work , my car breakdown on middle of road again , the problem same as 1st time . So I call them again , they came and tell me need to drive back to service center and check again. After 2 day past , they call me , my car have so many problem , need to change many things and tell me they don't know how to repair it. Now my car more worse than before they repair ,totally can't drive anymore . I am feel very disappointed of HONDA company, how come yours can simply give the dealer license to this kind of person .

Very Rude Service Advisor

Last week I bring my car to Tian Siang Auto Care Sdn Bhd Ipoh Perak to 40000 km service. I feel very angry with the SERVICE ADVISE who attend to me the named MOHAN A/L SREETHARAN. His answer very RUDE when entertain me. This person should not sit at front line. When I asked for his name, his asked back to me: "Why! you want to complain me." This is very BAD ATTITUTE.

Very Rude Service Advisor

I'm ERIC from PENANG, I' m having a HONDA ACCORD 2.4 year 2008, current mileage 37k KM, 100% accident free. The car having a huge noise from the back since few months ago and it become clearer since this week. I found the problem came from the rear seat panel(friction between 2 steel plate) after I took off the rear seats & speakers board. I send the car to VIVAHILL HILL Penang(panel workshop) to clarify and make warranty claim. But, a disappointing answer from them is I need to pay for the particular repair due to my warranty period has passed. The same answer given by HONDA MALAYSIA after I called.
Should this manufacture defect and unqualified products' issue bared by consumers? Please high light that HONDA in MALAYSIA is an expensive, well-known & high quality brand since few decades back, and your good company is highly focus on Customer Service Index.

I recently bring my car to The Millennium Auto & Carriage Sdn Bhd to install the center seat belt. I'm very disappointed with the SERVICE ADVISE named SYAM. His answer very RUDE when entertain me. This person should not sit at front line.

Very Rude Service Advisor

I agree with the rude service and let me share my horrible experience with you for Millenium Auto located at TTDI.
Not only is their service lacking in full inspection and attention, their Technical Director, Mr Terry Yap, is a man who loves to tai chi responsibilities + everything else except money, and doesn't give a damn about customers, only the company's profits.

I have owned my Honda Civic 1.8 ( also purchased at Millennium Auto), for the past 4 years. And the past 4 years, the only place i ever serviced at was Millenium Auto. I recently discovered, at my 75, 000km service, that they left my radiator cap ON MY RADIATOR, without even closing it, and they just closed the bonnet and returned the car to me. I was running around like this for 3 months before this incident was discovered by another mechanic who was replacing my wiper blades, just opened up my bonnet to do a basic check on water and discovered this. The radiator cap had already burned a small hole into my radiator, not enough to puncture through, but you can see the damage inflicted from the chemical scar. Naturally i demanded an explanation from Millenium Auto, and Mr Terry Yap ( a manager i was requested to direct my complaints to at the time), actually waived my service. This was incident 1.

Incident 2. Few days ago, i serviced my car again for 80, 000km. This time, Im not sure if full inspection was done but it doesn't seem like it cos we as customers always have to entice them to check this and that, but never mind. I assumed it was. Then I received a call from their Service Advisor, Joel, who mentioned that the service was done, but that my steering wheel pump was leaking so badly, that i had to replace it, and it will cost me over RM 2000 to replace the part. I was furious and enquired why it took them so long to discover the leak - which could have prevented the change of the entire part during their last inspection. He couldn't give me an adequate answer and said I should speak to Mr Terry Yap cos they didn't agree to meet halfway, nor suggest any other solution to help me save cost on such an expensive replacement, nor assume responsibility for their lack of concern nor proper full inspection during all the years I have serviced my car with them. I agreed to meet with Mr Terry Yap, and not only did he 'forget' he ever met me ( although he waived my 75000km service due to the opened radiator cap incident), he was also very adamant about the service and kept on tai-chi-ing the matter to me ( customer), saying it was none of their fault nor concern. ( imagine that!!!) During our sit down discussion, not only did he kept interjecting my speech, interrupting everything I had to say, but he was NOT a listener at all, and a personnel who couldn't care less what the customer thought. Not only that, he DID NOT BOTHER to share your concern, only cared that he ' couldn't do anything for you", ( and kept saying there was nothing he could do repeatedly), and would rather leave you to drive your vehicle out at your own risk, nor gave ANY SUGGESTION ON HOW TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. He DID NOT suggest a single method of problem solving, DID NOT probe an investigation, and instead said to me " i have been trying to tell you, between your last service and now, it has been 4 months, and anything could have happened". WOW. what an amazing guy. After I have spent THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON ALL THE YEARS OF SERVICING MY CAR THERE. Not only did he insult my intelligence as a customer, but after all the business i have been giving to Millenium Auto, he not only pushed the blame to me and the car, but refused to take ANY FORM OF RESPONSIBILITY for his lack of inspection on the vehicle, although i as the customer have been sending my car in CONSISTENTLY FOR REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE EVERY 5, 000KM. If they have done proper inspection in the previous service, I believe i would not have to change the part today as the leak could have been discovered, patched up, and problem solved.

As it turned out, to the final insult, not only was their suggestion and pricing of the part replacement disgustingly expensive, I took it to another mechanic who inspected it, and showed me exactly where the problem was ( only the outer ring of the steering wheel pump had to be replaced), and it will cost me only RM 100 or less to replace the part required, together with labour and oil costs, with change to spare. Con Job from Millenium Auto? You bet. To my understanding, most " authorized dealers", from Honda are like that, they will push you to change parts and parts linking to that part just to make you spend that kind of money with them, but get this- whether they actually change the part for you, you will never know. Even if they did you have no proof except what's written on the invoice cos we definitely can't take the car apart to check.

These are the 2 major incidents, I do not need to go through the stress a 3rd time. Out of these 2 incidents were very many minor incidents that proved their lack of service and professionalism, and I really don't care to mention that now as I will never go back there for service again.

Millenium Auto is not a service centre to be trusted, care about their own bottom line and profits more than they care about you ( the customer), and damn well doesn't care about your car. You have been warned.

Service level & Technical Experiences is very bad

Hi, This is Sam. As usual I sent my car for service at a service centre in Klang Valley. My car is still under 3 years warranty. It was a last minutes decision that I wanted to change the gear oil and stuff and wash my car as well. It was before chinese new year on 20th Jan 2012. After that we went back home town for CNY celebration. Also took a chance to go everywhere during this holiday. I came back to KL and washed my car on 29th Jan 2012. Huh... Something very interesting happened.

We found out that the gear oil cover never closed and the dip stick was not in place. Lead to oil squirting out from transmission casing as per photos attached. I can tolerate on slow service and long waiting. But I really cannot tolerate on this kind of mistake. It can lead to a very dangerous and serious situation such as car break down in the middle of the night during the massive jam festival season. I strongly disagree with the compensation that they have given to me. I thought such an International brand name, QUALITY CHECK is very important. Now I don't think so...

Service level & Technical Experiences is very bad

Personally i have experience the similar problem where i had multiple visit to Honda Service Center with the same complaint. that was last year and it was resolved after a complaint to E-Tribunal. They actually heard my complaint helped me to be calm that someone is hearing my complaint. But complaint to HONDA Malaysia guess in vein got myself embarrassed by the staffs attitude and raised my pressure only, they don't bother if they deliver low quality car by one of their representative. The moral of the story is if u have any problem just write a letter to HONDA MALAYSIA and also the Consumer Department. Consumer Department will surely answer your call but don't expect Honda Malaysia to do so, they will only contact you and advice you that they will look into your problem personally and give you a direct number to call. What they are doing is shutting you up. Be alert.

Service level & Technical Experiences is very bad

I have sent my car to Honda service center for 5 times with reporting the same problem (RPM drop, car vibrants & etc). Unfortunately, it never get resolved after advising me to change or service some part of the car. $$ been paid yet my car problem still NOT RESOLVED. In fact, it getting WORSE! The front desk person can't even explained the logic what's my car problem. Just trying out luck to see if it's get better after service by their technical ppl. Do they realized the hassle of time spent to travel all way for a non-productive of service given? Not even to mention the $$ they charge. How should I go about this? I've get advised for 3rd party workshop however they advise me to get Honda to check as it equiped with the machine for checking this problem. Well, then what's the technical ppl doing in Honda? Are they well trained or experienced? It's a very BIG QUESTION MARKS!!

Service level & Technical Experiences is very bad

I have the same issue as above Chelmen's complaint. My Honda City always gave noise like bird chirping and they claimed that the sound was came from belting, however, i just changed them last 3 months ago at Honda. Until today, 3 times of service, they still can't resolve it. 2nd issue, my car was encountered underpower during cornering, the acceleration was not smooth and the car return to lower gear was delayed, which I believed had caused this problem. Until today, their technician still can't get solution.
