UIF Application

I've been retrenched from CANSA and need to claim UIF. With my application visit I was inform to submit my previous work's (Elcon Rental) UI19 as well. I went back the following day with it. The Consultant told me that there is another UI19 outstanding for Elcon Civil. I explained to him that Elcon Civil became insolvent when I worked there and everyone was moved to Elcon Rental. The owner died and both Civil and Rental are closed now. The Consultant said that he understands and that he will write a motivation for Head Office for approval. With my 3rd, 4th and 5th visit to Department of Labour, Port Shepstone I had to explain the same story every time to a different person, just to hear they will write a motivation to Head Office for approval. I worked for Elcon Civil and Rental four years ago. I don't understand what does it have to do with the UIF I need to claim now because of retrenchment from CANSA. PLEASE HELP!!

Dismissed Claim

Good day

I am Galeboe Isaac Mosala and working at department of justice and cd, the Claim of My late father was refused due to delay by the Employer to Complete all the necessary documents and submit them in time. My father worked for so may years in South African Express Airways in Bloemfontein. Apparently the documents were submitted after some time and that's the reason why the claim was refused. My mother does not even get the monthly salary like any wife that her husband has passed on. I will like to know what steps to follow if she wants to Re- submit the claim. this is really frustrating her as it was not her fault to submit the documents in time for processing but it was the Employers fault. Please treat this as a matter of urgency as she needs to know what steps to follow to re open the claim and claim again. hope I will be hearing from the relevant party soon in order to address the situation fairly.

Your speedy recovery in this matter will be highly appreciated.

Non payment of maternity benefits

I applied for my maternity benefits on the 09th February 2017,after 35 working days there was still no response and when I called I was assisted by Jusleth who told me I'm registered under two companies on the same date of employment. She went on to further say they require a letter a letter from the company I denied working for which is Ester Lauder company whereas I'm employed by IChoices since from the 07th October 2015.

I did receive that required letter and faxed it through to fax that I was given by Jusleth.Since then when I call its either when I call I'm being told that the systems are offline.

I called in on the 05th July 2017 and spoke to George as he told me Jusleth was busy on another line.George assured me that they received the letter I faxed through and will forward the query to his supervisor as the case is long post dated and the supervisor will call me bfore COB that day,To my greatest surprise no one called and I called in again today and spoke to Jusleth who rudely told me that they are offline and that I should send their supervisor an email which I blatantly refused .

Do these people know what they are doing there or not, because I have debts to pay as I had no form of income .

Someone here is incompetent and I need to be assisted as soon as possible.

UIF CLAIM REJECTED

I went to apply for my UIF to be paid out. After two months they said everything is in order and my claim is with the pay master. So last week when I phoned they said my UIF claim has been rejected cause I claimed UIF in 2013. Unbelievable, 4 years later and I have paid UIF but can not claim. How does this work? Can you only then claim from every 10th job you have and after every 20 Years?

Workmens Compensation - No Response after 6 months

Our newly established business had to register with the Compensation Fund after acquiring a manufacturing business. On application an error was made on the application form. Our business is purely in manufacturing of items and we outsource the erection/installation of such items. After multiple phone calls, close to 100 emails back and forth, affidavits from the police, we are still yet to receive a response from the Compensation Fund. I have tracked down everyone in the company, none of which have been able to help. We are currently being charged more than 2 times what the company paid last year.

In order to delay the overpayment I applied for a monthly repayment method, AND GUESS WHAT, we had a response within a day. But when we are being ripped off it takes 6 months for anyone to respond.

Our business will now have to spend money on attorneys and legal advice in order to take the Compensation Fund on.
If anyone can assist I would appreciate this.

Regards
Peter

Uif

Ref No:10006627197
Application made in June and was told to return after 35 days returned on the 13 July stood on the que for 6 hours to be told its not yet approved and I shall return on the 31 July I do that again to be told to return on the 15 Aug. What nonsense is that, for monies that were deducted from me every month and now I'm being told otherwise. What systems is the department of labour using that it will take 3 months for my uif to be paid? We are spending monies going to these labour centres a and waste our time on those ridiculously long ques.

Unemployed funds M.Plain

Good day, I am disgusted at the level of service received by the department yesterday in Mitchell's Plain. I arrived there at 9am and left there pass 3..onli 2 check if my claim was approved! Which it wasn't!! I'm not upser about the wait coz I know these places gets packed and patience is all that is needed however, I am upset about the fact that my long wait was due 2 certain staff not doing wot they shud b doing!!! They chat!!! They make as if u not there!!! I mean, 2 wait if ur claim has been approved 4 6 hours, onli 2 b turned down???? Hell no!!!!!! The guy that had 2 do this is Peter. The security guard sits in his office 4 almost an hour, jst chatting!!!! While everybody is waiting!!! I eventually had 2 make scene and ask the security guard 2 please leave Peter in order 4 him 2 complete hia work!!! I advised Peter that if he wants 2 keep me there whole day, then I suggest the department employs me becoz paying me 4 my time will be much better than jst waisting it!!! I need 2 b back there the 11th August!! Really???? All this money waisted when u applying 4 it due 1 the fact that u dnt have an income??!!!! This is rediculous!!! I'm being asked 2 leave because my rent is overdue!!! I have a family!!! Really?????!!! This is not ryt!!!! Its our own money!!!! Why are we being sent up and down, from pillar 2 post 2 get our funds available 2 us!!! Peter kept on advising its not them, its head office ( Cape Town )..they not doing their work! Maternity

I applied for my maternity UIF benefit May 05 2017. After waiting 8 weeks when I called I was told that they were not able to locate my file. Having gone up and down I was advised t re submit my claim which was done at Provisional Offices in Cape Town. After a dreading 3 weeks wait I called and finally received my first payment (well so I thought). I made a phone call a few days ago wanting to find out about my second payment and I was told no there wont be any more I payments with no explanation. I have been working for over 4 years with my company and bare in mind this was the first time I have ever claimed for UIF maternity for that matter.

No one is helpful at their offices and they are stealing from us. there is no way that I was only entitled to 1 payments where does the rest of my money go. Under what grounds is this so. Please help my email address is [email protected]. Thank you

WCA dispute

I had an issue with incorrect assessment and went to see CT office. Had fairly good treatment and the "superintendence' referred me to the Compensation Commissioner in Pretoria - I had to do e-mail!

I did so on 26 June but NO response!
I have since then send 3 requests for feedback but with no luck! I have send it to the address supplied by CT but has added other known addresses to see if I can get action!
Main address: [email protected]
I have added: [email protected], [email protected],
BUT NOTHING!

I then decided to phone and I have tried from 08h30 to now (10h30) - 5 times until ringing stops and I have even phoned the National Dept on 012 309-4000 but NOOOOOO answer! It is as if these departments do not function at all??
I have doubt if this complaint will have any effect but it makes me feel better!

UIF PAYMENT NOT PAID AFTER GIVEN TIME

My husband, T. Manuel, went on early retirement at the end of March 2017. Early in April he started with te UIF process but he coul only submit his forms after he was send backwards and forward because there were a problem everytime. We have to travel to our nearest Labour Office which is a lot of money out of our pocket. The Labour Officials come once or twice a month to Touws River and we are glad for the fact that we could save money for petrol. He signed and the Labour Official from Worcester told him that it will take about 10 days for the money to be in the banking account. 10 Days has come and 10 days has go and nothing happened. He has to travel all the way to Worcester to find out what the delay was. That was in May 2017 and while he was there they let him sign for his next payment, while the 1st payment was not in his banking account yet. We cannot contact the Worcester Labour Department because their telephones doesn't work. It's pathetic that a big and very important, like THE LABOUR DEPARTMENT, is not contactable, when people experience critical situations, when they need answers and suffers lack of information. We experience that the Officials that visit small townships, like Touws River, they tell us anything, even if its not true, just for us to shut up and be quiet. In a democratic land like South Africa we have the right to every single piece of information and that we must be helped in a respectable and decent manner. He signed the 14th June and they told him after 10 days which should be on the 28th June. On 11th July he make an enquiry and they let him signed for the 5th time. The Official from Worcester assure him the money should be in his account the latest by Saturday 15 July 2015. Today its the 19 July 2015 no money have been paid in which means theres no money in the bank. I just want to make a statement and tell the Labour Officials that we are all human beings creates by the same God, so let us treat each other with respect and dignity because we as the community assume that you are the competent people that are in a position to help the people out there.

UIF payouts

I am registered for Ufiling, which is meant to be efficient and takes the pressure off the busy walk-in centres. At first, things moved smoothly, I registered, submitted continuation of benefits when required to do so & received two payments. Now payments have ceased, even though I was informed via sms that my claim had been received & I could expect the next payment within 7-10 days.

I called the centre on the '10th day' & the 'consultant' said he would escalate the matter to his supervisor.

Nothing happened. And when I asked to be transferred to the Call centre survey,my call was dropped. Surprise surprise!

I called again & another 'consultant' said he would email the paymaster. I asked about the previous consultant's action & it appeared that the matter was not referred to anyone.

Are the staff members playing a kind of Russian Roulette with callers? Some get assistance, others don't depending on how that staff member feels on the day?

Solution - each call centre person has a log; calls are logged, and followed up by the supervisor. But service needs to be enhanced & poorly performing staff retrained or dismissed.
