Little House on the Praire

Why have you moved Little House on the Prairie from the 2:00 slot. You have Home and Family on for 6 hours now and I now have to find other show to watch during those hours. 6 hours are much to long for a show like that. Also, why can't there be movies every evening at 8 or 9 instead of just on the weekends. Love the movie marathons!

picture smaller than screen

Why are they showing little house on the praire in smaller screen version. It's distracting. No need for this in this days technology.

music too loud!

I love to watch Hallmark movies, but WHY does there have to be such loud annoying background music? There have been several movies that I have not watched because of the music--I can't hear the dialogue and turning up the volume just makes the music louder and doesn't help with being able to hear the dialogue.

Please, turn down the music or eliminate it completely....it's not something people enjoy. My husband has a hearing loss and he can't hear the dialogue at all!

Commercials

Do your sponsors realize that their advertising money is going to waste. The volume is so very loud and annoying during commercials. Everyone. mutes or fast forwards through the commercial. I can honestly say that I never watched one of the commercials on your channel. You know it is bad when your dog jumps up and runs out of the room if you don't hit the fast forward button fast enough at the beginning of a commercial.

volume control

as You know you are in FCC violations for failure to control the volume issues. More importantly you are intimidating you regular viewers. The whole reason to watch Hallmark is to relax, when you are constantly being irritated by the volume of the movie, the network commercials, and regular commercials. I sure you have some over paid team of advertising specialist that are driving the problem, they are wrong and ignorant, and over time, will loose your costumer base. There is nothing I would like better than to watch your network and not have clutch the remote and wear the volume button out to adjust it constantly. For example, Sunday morning, 8am cst, Columbo series on, up and down, up and down, there is no sensible medium. Set the standard, set forth the absolute best volume practice, it cant be that difficult with the technology we have today or even expensive. NOW, once you have set the standard, advertise that you are what the "Hallmark" trademark has stood for decades. Your customers should be poled if they had a nice overall experience watching something as if it came from THEIR TV at home. And ask them directly about the commercials, volume, etc. Get to the heartland areas where people still can hear without someone shouting at them, Go on a stress free station spree. Step up and be a worthy leader.

Praise

This is not a complaint but a compliment to your movie channel. I love the old mystery series. Glad to see Columbo coming. How about McMillian and Wife, another good one. Like the add on of the other newer mysteries. How about adding more of the Prudence. I enjoyed Jane Symore in her role of Prudence. Keep up the enjoyable mysteries without the ogre that so many series have today.

I can't watch on demand

Dear Hallmark Channel,
I am very disappointed that you advertise on commercials that I am able to watch the Good Witch TV Series On Demand. Yet it is not available on Demand with my local cable company? Why do you advertise in my region if I can not watch any of your programming on demand. I LOVE all your movies and the Good Witch Series. Why am I not able to watch this. You had your Cedar Cove series on demand last year. I don't enjoy all the old TV Shows and do not watch any of them. I do watch anything to do with the Good Witch Movies & shows. I love your movie marathons, never get sick of them. Put your shows on Demand with all local cable stations!!!! Thank you :) And put some of your movies on demand...even just a handful of them please!!!!

hallmark movies

I love love the movies. I love that I can watch them with my young kids. I am now watching The Chateau Meroux and I'm very disappointed in it. There is too much sexual inuendos. I won't allow my kids to watch this movie. I don't feel like I have to explain what friends with benefits means to my young daughters. I love the family friendly and innocence of the movies. Please don't make the movies like almost every other tv show and movie on tv. It should stay with the romance and not with the sex. Thank you.

Volume of the Commercials

I used to enjoy watching the Hallmark M&M Channel. The volume of the commercials is so loud, especially the one with Dick VanDyke at the beginning. It is startling and obnoxious. I would have to sit with the controller to turn the volume down quickly, so I won't disturb the neighbors.

CONTINUOUS RERUN OF THE SAME MOVIES

HALLMARK CHANNELS has lowered itself again to the same rerun format over and over with only a few hours between the same show rerun. Why on earth is The Middle on Hallmarks extremely excellent potential channel. There are so many Hallmark Movies that could be offered on the two channels which are strictly Hallmark Movies from the last few years but they continually rerun the same, say 10 movies, over and over and over until they result in a boring senseless format like the reruns of the "NEW" GOOD WITCH series already. I have seen the same one within 2-3 days this month, March 2015. Why don't they run some of the delightful movies that have run over the last two years and break up the monotony of seeing the same "new ones" over and over and over again. I just spent nine years in Turkey (I am American and retired) and enjoyed seeing the Hallmark Movies overseas so very much to keep that "home touch" there. Was so disappointed upon my return to have it turn into a fiasco of current reruns. And the commercialism is disgusting. You don't see that much of the movie before they are segueing into a commercial. Give America a break today! We don't need to see the same movies or same commercials every six hours. Come on Hallmark and be the leader you profess to be. Thank you.

The Middle

Hallmark Channel,
I am a big fan of Hallmark and watch all the Christmas, Valentines, serial shows, Frasier, Golden Girls . . .
But I don't understand why "The Middle" is on Hallmark and why is it on both day and night. To me, it just doesn't measure up to the caliber of your other shows. I avoid it. Thank you.

Music Too Loud

Know that a lot of senior citizens enjoy the Hallmark Chanel. But I have got to tell you that the music is too loud and the elderly are not able to hear the dialog spoken by the Actors. Please do something about this. Don't consider myself elderly but I really have to tune in to hear also. You have good quality shows (most of the time) but you can not expect people to watch if they can not hear. Either lower the music or do away with it altogether. Not sure of the purpose for it.

Know that others have said this and would be nice to see a response from the Hallmark Chanel.

Thank you!

Hallmark's programming promise

Maybe some day Hallmark will actually act on some of these complaints/reviews. In case that happens, I would like to take a moment to remind Hallmark of something: This is a direct quote about Hallmark channel programming, "The channel's programming is primarily targeted at families". However......the same old programs you run year after year over and over, are often in direct opposition to the "family programming" Hallmark USED to be famous for. For example:
"The Golden Girls" - a series about 4 older women living together - Blanche is promiscuous, Dorothy is sarcastic and cynical about everything, Dorothy's mother has only nasty things to say about everyone, and they treat Rose as if she is mentally retarded. By the way, Hallmark 'bought' the rights to Golden Girls back in 2008 I believe, so they have been showing these same reruns of this series for 7 years now....how about you give it a rest?
"the Middle" - what a great example of bad parenting.
"Cheers" - characters spend all their spare time, escaping from their home lives, in a Bar drinking booze. Real family programming there.
"I Love Lucy" - this is a B&W show, popular in 1950's - and NO, everybody does NOT love Lucy. Popular 65 years ago, but not today.

There are so many good shows Hallmark COULD show, yet they continue to show these same reruns not just for months, but for YEAR after YEAR - how many times do we have to watch the same episodes over and over?

Hallmark needs to get back to their original mission to provide Family Quality Programming. And as others in these comments have said - you put this forum here for people to have their say - well, Hallmark, LISTEN to what they are saying and RESPOND to their concerns!! What people have said here are legitimate concerns and complaints and they took the time to comment because they want Hallmark to be the good channel it used to be with good programming it used to have.

PROGRAMMING

I am a senior citizen and I can only afford basic cable. With that, I get channels 1 through 30 and the hallmark channel. That's it. That is all the programming I have available to watch. I enjoy the Hallmark channel as it really is (usually) good quality television. But I am SOOOOO disappointed that you continually show the same shows over and over again. WHY? There are so many programs and sitcoms over the years that are likely available and yet you have been rerunning Golden Girls for YEARS now. And I Love Lucy was somehting my PARENTS used to watch back in the 50's- why do you think people would still want to see an old black and white program that was back in the 'olden days'??? Not everybody loves "Lucy", contrary to popular belief. I sure don't.

Whoever your Program Director is should be replaced with someone in tune with what peple TODAY want to watch. That show, "The Middle", I have never seen before until I saw it on the Hallmark Channel That is the WORST example of parenting I have ever seen and I am surpriesd Hallmark would support showing a program like that. I do enjoy the movies you show, even though you have tendency to "overshow" them a lot, but at least it beats having to watch the Golden Girls again and again.

Take pity on your viewers and give some serious consideration to reevaluating your programming. It really 'sucks' right now and you are about to lose yet ANOTHER viewer, as I have about had it with the poor programming. Some new shows and a little variety would sure be a nice change.

Really disappointed in you Hallmark. Hallmark used to stand for high quality, and now it just stands for poor programming and not caring about their viewers.

NO MORE GOLDEN GIRLS please!!!!

So sick and tired of Golden Girls reruns year after year!!! How many years are we going to be subjected to these same reruns over and over and over and over!!!!????? You can only watch a show so many times before you can recite the dialogue by memory. And I Love Lucy - let it R.I.P. back in the 50s where it belongs! I WELCOME the movie marathons - at least it gives us something to watch besides Golden Girls and I Love Lucy.

Your viewers HATE you!

Your station is unwatchable! Enough with the Holiday Marathons! Between the unbearable Christmas brainwashing starting at Halloween and now this maddening Valentine's Day programming - just stop it! Either, give up all of your regular shows and become a "Holiday Movie" only station - or limit the holiday movies to one during prime time hours. NO ONE likes or wants to watch this crap 24/7!

Show Editing

Very displeased with whomever does the editing of your shows.
As they are obviously less than professional editors or anywhere near competent.
If I'm watching "Murder She Wrote" for example, right in the middle of dialogue,
suddenly there is a break for a commercial!
Happens all the time to the shows and your movies.
Frustrating to say the least.
You've addressed that super loud music playing over dialogue in your movies,
which by the way resulted in many of my family & friends stop watching for a few years;
now please fix your editing!
Thank you.

stop the marathons!!!!

I'm so incredibly frustrated with you guys. I love the regular lineup especially golden girls. And I just survived a 2 MONTH LONG block from the regular lineup so you could have a Christmas marathon showing your cruddy no name christmas movies. And now just when I think I'm out of the clear for the next 8 months, and just start getting used to the regular lineup again, no your doing a valentines day marathon!!!, this is aweful. Not being picky buy people don't want to sit around and watch your b-rated movies all day everyday. We like the sitcoms. Your killing your eatings because of this. I just gave up and bought tthe golden girls DVD's. Here's a tip, if you insist on running a movie marathon fine. But MODERATION!!!!!!

Movies

I started watching your channel several years ago because I have really enjoyed the sitcoms you showed like Frazier and The Golden Girls. Then when Christmas came along, the first year I enjoyed most of the Christmas movies. However, as the years have gone by I'be grown rather tired of SO MANY MOVIES! Constantly for a whole month us way too much. If you insist on a whole month, at least show different movies instead of the same ones over and over! Lord knows you should have enough tie show a different one every night. I always liked The Santa Suit but it never aired this year. Instead we saw reruns of the same ones every two days. When we finally got through the Christmas marathon, we now get a Valentine marathon! May we please get a break? Also, if you insist on movies at least put a little variety in them. I can always predict boy will meet girl. They won't like each other. Then, about an hour into the movie they start liking each other. About 30 minutes before the end a crisis occurs which in the final 10 or 15 minutes is miraculously resolved. They're all the same thing, only different. That's all.
