Valentines Day Movies

I too am disappointed that after a two month holiday movie marathon we now have a Valentine's DAY month-long marathon.
I assume there will be a St. Patrick's Day month-long marathon in March, an Easter month-long marathon in April, etc. I'm not even checking the listings anymore.

MOVIES 24/7

PLEASE stop showing endless movie marathons!!!

Here are a few suggestions:

1)During the holidays, movies in prime time ONLY. I only watch your channel for "Lucy" and "Golden Girls." And now with ANOTHER movie marathon for weeks for VALENTINES DAY? PLEASE STOP!!!! I'm finding a lot of other good channels out there which I would have never been forced to find if you would just play holiday movies IN MODERATION!!! PLEASE! I'm about to abandon this channel entirely, and it sounds like, from reading these other posts, that I AM NOT ALONE!

2) Don't EVER take Lucy off your channel. It's classic. It makes my morning every morning for 42 weeks a year (NOT 52 weeks because of your ridiculous 10 weeks of HOLIDAY MOVIES!)

STOP WITH THE MOVIE MARATHONS!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Movie Marathons

I agree with some of the others. The movie marathons have gotten OLD and stale. One day marathon or maybe a week wouldn't be bad but months of the same inane droning theme is too much

Movie Marathon

PLEASE STOP suspending regular programming for your hokey I-know-what's-going-to-happen-from-the-preview movies!!!! You did it for over a month for Christmas, sorry, HOLIDAY, movies and now you're doing it for Valentine's Day movies. But not just for Valentine's Day. One day, maybe I could see.
We just got the regular schedule of shows back this month and now you're doing another movie marathon? There is a Hallmark MOVIE Channel, correct?
I really enjoy your channel when you play actual shows, but this movie marathon has got to STOP!
Home and Family is bad enough.
Your channel is really going down the tubes.
Hate to see it.
I will not be watching any of your vomit inducing movies.
And I'm a CHICK!

Hallmark Channel Film's Background music

I love to switch Hallmark movies. The problem is that every film's background music is way too loud. It has been so difficult to hear the actors speaking that I have started using closed captioning for the Hallmark Channel. That way, I can keep track of what is being said. Hallmark Channel would be so much improved if the music volume during a film could be lowered.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

New Movies

I have been a fan of the Hallmark channel for many years, but I must say that in the last two years I have been disappointed in most of your new movies. Personally, I think the new romance movies are inane, and what is even worse, they are the same thing over and over. The premise is the same, and only the weather and the attire change. Tonight the movie is in a book store; same story as a couple of your new Christmas movies only different locations. In prior years you have had some very good movies that had something to say, but now it seems that you have decided to do a movie a week and it is just the same thing over and over. I would much prefer less movies with more quality. Also, any chance that you might bring back "Touched by an Angel"

Thank you

volume on commercials, web site

As so many have mentioned, the volume level on commercials is quite a bit louder than the shows, in violation of FCC. Please fix it.

On web site, if you want to look at the schedule, it resets every time you move to a new day. To view the schedule, you have to get by a video clip of whatever is being featured, irritating enough, but then you have to reset the time zone. It seems to me once your readers have set the time zone, it could be "remembered" by your site.

Hallmark Programming Suggestion

I love the Hallmark Channel and very much appreciate the family programming. It's a haven from the garbage on cable. I work in NYC and my day starts happy, after watching "I Love Lucy". My suggestion is, however, that Hallmark replace "Golden Girls" with another sitcom. As a woman, I can appreciate what that show was trying to convey to audiences; however, most of it isn't funny and can be quite annoying. I would rather watch "The Middle" or "The Honeymooners" or even "I Dream of Jeannie". Something light and funny.

Please consider changing the program lineup.

Thank you very much.

Commercials

Too, too many commercials. Hallmark must make a lot of money playing old shows over and over, and then breaking for commercials every few minutes. And the commercials are louder than the programming. Some of the commercials are so long, they are almost infomercials. I have been laying in bed sick for days watching the Hallmark mysteries and movies channel, subjected to constant interruptions of loud, long nauseating commercials about sick and severely hurt children, abused animals, and wounded veterans (warriors). While I have understanding and sympathy for these causes, why do they have to dramatize in such graphic, sickening ways, which go on and on and on. There must be a better way to raise funds. I finally just turn it all off, because it becomes so sickening. Then I try again later, because Hallmark does have some good, clean programming. Only to have to bear the same round of loud, lengthy, sickening commercials again.

TOO MUCH CHRISTMAS MOVIES

On the overall, I love your Christmas movies, but NOT from November 1 - January 1st. At least, wait until AFTER Thanksgiving!! There is a holiday that comes right before Christmas. Thought that family and thanksgiving was what the Hallmark Channel was trying to project and represent. WAIT until AFTER THANKSGIVING to begin your Christmas movies.

Something that is pleasant and enjoyable can be ruined by "too much of a good thing"!!! Please, also, stop playing the Christmas movies over-and-over again - so many repeats. Throw in some actual programming, and keep the movies just at certain special hours. Then we will look forward to seeing them.

Oh, and by the way, are we in the same experience again for Valentine's movies? Please do not ruin a sweet holiday with repetition!

Thank you!

Too Much Inane Holiday Programming and Too Many Commercials

The only reason that I watched The Hallmark Channel was to catch an early morning episode of "I Love Lucy." Even though the episodes were mercilessly hacked up for more commercial time, I still enjoyed an early morning laugh from good ol' Lucy and her pal's. Currently Hallmark is playing nothing but inane, sappy, christmas themed films that are about as entertaining as being in close quarters with someone who is lactose intolerant, who recently consumed a half gallon of whole milk! Those lame holiday Hallmark flicks STINK! Instead I wanna hear Lucy's silly wailing, Ricky strumming his guitar and beating his conga drum, and Ethyl and Fred's bickering. Come on Hallmark and cap the sap. Give us something to tickle our funny bones, and not the dross that makes us wanna heave!

Loud Commercials

During the holiday season, the volume level of the commercials are much louder than the volume of the movies. The FCC passed a law last year that prohibits this practice and I have filed complaints with the FCC regarding the Hallmark Movie Channel. I enjoy your channel, but it drives me crazy when the commercials are so loud that they wake up people in another room.

PLEASE TURN DOWN THE VOLUME OF YOUR COMMERCIALS!

What is it with Hallmark and people who decide not to have children or get married?

I just watched "Three Weeks, Three Kids" with my mother the other day, and I swear, that was the LAST STRAW. For whatever reason, Hallmark likes to make movies that criticize people for deciding not to get married or have children.

In "Three Weeks, Three Kids," the main character, Jennifer, is a free-spirited, career-oriented woman who prefers not to get married or have children. When her sister decides to go to Europe for three weeks, Jennifer offers to take care of her children, learning that it's not easy. But throughout the entire movie, Jennifer is constantly given back-handed compliments and criticisms about the fact that she hasn't settled down, and in the end, she does end up getting together with her sister's neighbor. This pretty much makes the moral of the story, "If you don't decide to get married and have children, you are irresponsible and too carefree." Jennifer's boss even straight up asks her so rudely why she has a problem with "responsibility."

It's the same with so many other movies. "Cupid and Cate" is another good example.

What's so wrong with an adult deciding that getting married and/or having children isn't best for him or her? Some people don't decide that because they "hate responsibility"; they just don't feel like they'll be able to handle it. What if they feel that they might screw up the marriage or the upbringing of the child? If you ask me, I would not want a child to be raised in a home where the parent(s) never looked forward to having him or her in the first place.

Heck, the reasoning behind their decision might not even matter! What if that person JUST DOESN'T WANT TO? He or she is a grown adult that doesn't need to be told how to live his or her own life.

Why is Hallmark so judgmental with people like Jennifer? So we can buy more of their wedding- and baby-related greeting cards? Well, no thanks, Hallmark, I'll pass.

Commercial content

STOP with the provocative/seductive commercials of women in provocative underwear and seductive perfume commercials. I was just now trying to watch a pleasant Christmas movie and that commercial came on and I immediately turned it and wrote this comment. I am SICK of seeing these when kids would more than likely be watching. How ridiculous!! I am not putting up with it anymore, and changing my channel to other Christmas movies this season. I a VERY angry and disappointed...I thought you were better and more considerate of families and their times together than this. I will spread the boycott news to my MANY family and friends.

Christmas 24

Could some body please tell me why at the end of every movie you split the screen to show what's next, therefore you can't read the cast, and as that's all most people really care about, not all the rest, 050153It's very annoying and you do it with every single movie, otherwise very enjoyable channel.

WHere are some of the old Christmas movies

I love your channel. Missing some of the old movies this year such as Christmas Card, Christmas Choir, Christmas Box just to name a few. If they have moved to the Hallmark Movie channel that is a bummer as do not get that channel.
Most of the new ones are great but you keep showing them over and over again. Could you not put some of the old ones in too?

My mother and I were really to watch a new move that was shown on our TV guide, next we know a different movie was starting which we've already seen.
It would be nice if fhe correct movie was listed.

Enough Christmas Already

Does anyone read these complaints ? I doubt it. We as customers take the time to send in our complaints - we should also be given the courtesy of someone doing g something about them as well. Enough of this damn Xmas stuff - sick of them already and we have another damn month to to. My money is being wasted paying for this channel since I've not watched it since October. Also nice to know - no gives a damn about any of this. Will be cancelling my subscription to Hallmark today. I've found a 'used book store' near me and have purchased numerous DVD's - Murder She Wrote, Diagnosis, etc. for $1.50 each. Saving me lots of money. I bought 50 DVD's with all my mystery episodes - so Hallmark serves no purpose to me anymore. They don't care about the consumer - this is Corporate America - gone to the dogs. Thanks for nothing!!!!!!!! Truly dissatisfied customer. Done with this channel.

CHRISTMAS MOVIES/OLD SHOWS

I LOVE HALLMARK AND PAY DEARLY TO SEE IT. QUIT RUNNING IN JULY THEN BEGINNING NOV. AND THRU DEC. ALL THOSE XMAS MOVIES. IT BECOMES TIRING TO KEEP SEEING SAME ONES OVER AND OVER. AS FOR THE OTHER SHOWS, THERE ARE MANY, MANY SERIES THAT YOU SHOW BUT YOU KEEP REPEATING THE SAME OLD ONES. ALSO WHY DON'T YOU START A SERIES W/THE FIRST SHOW THEN PROCEED ON IN ORDER. MANY OF US WOULD TRULY ENJOY SEEING BEGINNING TO END.

WHY AREN'T YOU ALSO ON ATT TV? IT'S A SAME THAT I HAD TO SWITCH MY CABLE FROM ATT TO COMCAST JUST TO WATCH THE HALLMARK CHANNEL. COME ON, WE ALL HAVE TO PAY FOR CABLE, BUT THE HALLMARK CHANNEL MAKES US PAY EVEN MORE TO AQUIRE YOUR CHANNEL. HELP US OUT.....MONEY IS SHORT BUT YOU DO HAVE GREAT CHANNEL IT SHOULD BE IN THE ORIGINAL LINE UP OF CHANNELS W/O EXTRA CHARGE. JUST STOP SHOWING ALL THESE UNREALISTIC XMAS MOVIES AND FOR SO LONG. Too much music

Please stop the constant music in your films, or turn it way down. I can't understand half of the script for the annoying, loud music. Your movies are good but I miss half of the lines!

Trying to watch Xmas movie and the sound cuts out every FEW seconds! You might as well kill the channel because you can't watch a movie when you get one word out of every 25! Absolutely ridiculous! What a waste!
