No Humans to speak to at UIF Offices

To whom it may concern

I have registered at Pinetown and attended the required meetings on the days stipulated for me and the process has proceeded as expected until my current problem has arisen.

As requested I attended the Pinetown offices on 14 June 2016 for my first meeting to confirm that I remained unemployed. I was advised that I should expect payment within 5 – 7 working days. I checked with a colleague who registered at the same time as me and was advised that he had received his first payment within the said 5 days. It is now 9 working days later and I have not received payment.

My greatest irritation is that it is impossible to speak to a human being in this regard. I have called the numbers given and receive no reply. The only response is an assurance that I am a valuable client and that my call will be attended to. After 1 hour and 22 minutes I had received no response apart from the reminder that a bark coded ID was required.

It is unacceptable that contributors to UIF and as tax payers it is a disgrace that
1. our Government and
2. our Civil Servants treat us with such contempt

Please revert with a response to my complaint.

UIF is pathetic

Hi,

So, i applied for uif in january, in may (whole mOnth) my profile was locked on ufiling, ive had to emailca copy of my ID a couple of times for tge system to unlOck.

To cur the long story short,my bAby was born inMarch, last month when i called the DOL i was told they are waiting for me to submit my medical certificate which i did, on the system it shows that it was scaned in. Today the 22nd of June, i called and was told they still havent recieved my medical certificate.

How do they ecpect us to buy food,nappies and stay clear of credit listing if they dont pay us our money that we work hard for?? Im gatvolof this stupid system. Im tired and ready to March to union building until someone sees me or pays me. No use in going to the labour dept pta.

Im a mother of 2 with a car that needs to be paid every month!

If anyone knows where the main offices are pleas let me know.

4 MONTHS NO PAYOUT

Hi There


I applied for Maternity benefits on the 1 march 2016 due to mistakes made by the employees of the Randfontein labour centre there was a delay as some documents were not captured.
After 6 trips there eventually things were sorted or so I thought in April. I have got an sms in the first week of June saying payment will be made in 7 -10days. It is now almost end of June and still nothing.

Unpaid uif

What a rediculouse service the Boksburg labour office render. Firstly u wait for eternity to get ur claim processed then another for your money to be paid. Each time u call u get told they are very busy but when u go there they are just idling

Government must really think this uif drama coz honestly it's pathetic n rediculouse. They must just stop taking uif from hard working citizens until they come up with a workable payout plan coz the one in place now is just rubbish n Boksburg excel in practicing the rubbish service.
If Ella is not there forget about emails being answered coz Vincent thinks emails are decorations in his inbox. All I want is my money n on that note a letter that exempt me from ever ever laying the stupid uif coz I went through traumatic situation just to get my claim processed n now again to get payment. Is there anything that Vincent's team can do right ? Well apart from Ella n a few individuals that work to their full capacity

Maternity benefits

I have applied for my maternity benefits before I gave birth on the 4th of May and I was told that my application had been rejected.I went to enquire and I was told that it woule be captured again . Why must we fight and sweat to getvour own money government is not doing us a favour this is our money. Im already in debts because its like im waiting for miracle money that doesn't want to appear yet we have government officials decorating in offices monday to friday. Please can someone useful respond to our complains

Still unpaid

The whole system of uif is the mess. In Roodepoort, they are careless about our applications and often misplace important documents; In Orlando, there is no one that bothers him/herself about my application; and in the uif call centre, you won't find anyone picking up your call and if they do, they won't help you. Therefore they are bunch of useless and incompetent people. Why don't the government privatise this department?

pending uif

On the 28th April 2016 I applied for uif.
I then received a date for 6 weeks later.
Went back on that date only to find out that my claim was never captured and that there is a backlog
According to the supervisor at Mitchell's Plain branch.
He then gave me a second date... same thing happened on the second date. The supervisor then told me to call on a weekly basis to find out how far my claim is. Whenever I contact the branch no one.answers. I then physically have to visit the branch and sit and wait.for.hours to be assisted by the supervisor.
To date I have received no response or adequate assistance. The supervisor at the branch is not responding on my emails.
Can someone please assist me with this matter.
I don't see how anybody at the Mitchell's Plain branch is competent or willing to assist me.

UIF PAYOUT - PRETORIA OFFICES

PLEASE CAN SOMEONE FROM UIF PRETORIA CONTACT ME or give me a contact person to speak to? I am trying to establish if Case no: 561018 has been cleared from 2 issues - neither were delays or faults from my side.

My first application to UIF was in person on 15/11/2015. On 04/01/2016, I had to lodge a complaint because the system said I was still employed - with a company in Vereeniging that I had no knowledge of. After more visits to the Pretoria UIF offices; hours of waiting; numerous emails; numerous hours of holding a phone that was never answered by the Department, I eventually received a response from Vereeniging on 17/05/2016 to say the case has been cleared.I have subsequently been trying various telephone numbers & email addresses at the Pretoria UIF offices; but to date I have had no response.

I just need to know if the 2 cases have been cleared on the Pretoria UIF offices payments system so I can go in to the offices for payment. i am not well & cannot keep going to the Department; waiting for many hours, only to be told "come back in 3 weeks".

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

UIF Maternity Benefit Claim

Good Day

I am really fed up with bad service!!! My baby was born on the 5th of Feb. I submitted my Application in Nov 2015 as I was told that I can do so and as soon as my baby was born, I submitted the rest of the Documents needed.

A long story short...I have send the Application 3 times already with all the other documents needed. They are misleading and will NEVER inform you should the need any other documents. I am in bad dept because of this. I don't know how many times my application has been "escalated" Where do we go for help in this regards? This is unnecessary stress!! Why do we pay UIF on time every single month for years and years and get NO service at all??

This is Pathetic and surely gives the Department a bad name!

Struggling for my UIF payout

Struggling for my uif payout ref No: 10003524762

My name is Emily Segami I was working for contract Quest and ended last year in November. 21 January 2016 I went to Department of Labour in Welkom to submit all requiremenents (documents) and assisted by Queen Thabethe; she was very helpful for the first time and asked me to come end of the month. On the 9th of February I've received a rejection SMS and went to the office don't he 10th for explation; the lady told me there is no such a thing and she checked on her system; she then told me there was no documents on the system she need to scan them; end of February 2016 I went back to her again she told me same story no docs scanned ; during March 2016 I called her she told me its not approved. During May 2016 I went to the office again she told me its not approved & case closed; she need to speak to her superviousor to send an email to head office for them to approve still NOTHING happened. On the 06/06/2016 I called her she told me superviousor he's in training he won't be able to assist me. I really need this money and I need someone to help me. Please help

Maternity claim

My claim was submitted in January and still no progress on my claim. Maternity benefits are suppose to assist mothers while on maternity leave but its actually the opposite...

What can be done in order for us moms to get the necessary assistance?

ACCOUNT LOCKED OUT

I registerd my husband on ufiling when i wanted to go into ufiling again it tells me account locked out i have been emailing to about 4 people now and did not get 1 respond my husband on pension now payed UIF for 48yrs and nobody ia willing to yust reply on about 10 emails i send what is going on ???? Pls hope some one can help me.

non payment of uif

I went to sign for y UIF on the 27th of May. Usually it is in within 2 days. When it was not I called the office in Kemptonpark and was told it now takes 7 - 10 days to process. I waited. I received an sms on 6 June to say they received my my application with ref: 10004393272. I am still waiting and today is 10 June. It has now been than 14 days since I signed and still no payment and no response to my emails send to the department of labour. Looks like the government is now refusing to pay my UIF.

UIF Submission

Good day,

As per the website, emails are expected to be answered within 48hours. It has been over 2 weeks(initial email was sent on the 26th May) and I have not gotten a reply.
I have sent an appeal and that has also not yielded any results.

I have tried calling several times and held on the line for over 20 minutes, with no answer.

My contract ended in March 2016. I had expected to have gotten a job by April, and when this did not happen, I applied for UIF to assist with my expenses and debts.

Please can I get some assistance, because I am really stranded here and I don't know what more to do.

Unpaid UIF: 10003823893

I went to UIF for the first time in beginning of March 2016 and have been reporting weekly. Every time something else is wrong. They say the claim has not been updated. Phones to these offices in Welkom are not answered or the phone is picked up and placed back on the receiver immediately. I have even called a specific lady on her cellphone. The answer remains the same and in the mean while my family suffers from no income. I have paid the UIF for 16 years, but the service remains very poor. I have also never seen a supervisor to discuss my complaint.

unpaid UIF claim

My UIF claim for the unpaid maternity leave has not been paid. I submitted all documents last year. According to the feedback from the uif system website the documents were completed by the assessor on the 5th December 2015.
I have been to Kempton park offices more than 4 times and I am told I should expect the payment within 10 days. I don't know what to do anymore...

uif delays - unprofessional

Good day

I am very unhappy with the service of the department of labour. I have applied for my maternity benefits on the 9th of February at the Mitchell's Plain office, after being given 5 dates finally on my 6th return to their office and after having to argue with the supervisor regarding my application did he check and have is sent for approval the 1st time I received a payout was mid May . I was then given a date to go back for my second and final payment on the 1st of june which I did as I started working again on the 2nd,but till today I still have not received my money after I was told it would be in between 2 to 4 days. Today I had to ask for time off to go back to the office to find out what is happening as no 1 bothered to call and say that there is a problem, I was then told to fill in another payment form my payment is pending but they cannot tell me when my money will be in. They also never bother to pick up the phone when one calls. I have been told to call other branches who then tell me I have to call Mitchell's Plain again

I am appalled by the service of the labour department, to think that I am back at work and still I have not been able to get my money I now have to sacrifice my time to work in extra hours because of having to go back to the office. Can someone look into what is happening to my payment as I am not getting any answers.

Hopefully someone will read their emails and get back to me with answers regarding what I need to do to find out what is happening with my my payment as I have waited long enough and depended on my uif as my source of income during mat leave.

I applied for maternity benefits in 2015 and I never received all my money. in May 2016 I was informed that I have 8 credit days left but I have still not received the payment. I call everyday to follow up but my calls are never answered. Who can assist me with this issue.

UIF claim not approved

I've been to mamelodi labour center 4 times before i could submit my application. Now that I've submitted on the 11th of April I got an sms saying it will take only 35 days before approval so its been two months. I want to know whats keeping my application not to be approved because ive been unemployed for 5 months and i need my payments to go seek for a job.
