CLOSE MY ACCOUNT PLEASE I'M BEGGING

7000100100179043872 I have asked EDGAR'S politely to close my account prior to Edgar's going into shambles almost a year later I get messages saying my account in arrears ***UDGE I immediately got all my correspondence when I asked the account to be canceled and at the time of my instruction I immediately cut up my card. Nobody from Edgar's got back to me no replies to my emails no replies from Nazlie Andrew's who helped me no replies at all I tried calling Edgar's and got transferred to several departments and nobody competent to help can see why the company went down. I tried yet again to contact RCs group and Nosipho helped me greatly I told her my story she thenconfirmed that she will put through a cancelation and it takes 30 days my fees will be reversed and my account zero rise and myself and credit union will receive a paid up letter. But then got a call and sms from Blake attorneys ***UDGE is there no communication between the parties?? I explained my story to Gugu shange who understood my case and asked me to email my cancelation instruction to *********** which I did. And few days later I got an sms saying I'm being handed over ***UDGE!!!!! Am I dealing with a bunch of what? Is it people? Why is nobody helping me why is everybody so incompetent!!!! People never open Edgar's account its not worth it and the company does not understand and know its customers - Edgar's is another word for failure

Edgars account

Closing of Account

Edgards Account 7001000053451107 70012081 

This Edgards Account was closed on 1 Jul 2020 at the JET branch in Bethal.  
The account was however never closed

The local store advised us to contact Edcon and we even tried from the store without any success. On queries the helpline said the problem came with the takeover from EDCON to RCS and that the relevant information was never communicated to RCS. 
To date multiple calls of several hours was made to the following number (031 538 4000, 086 172 9727, 086 023 6289, 086 011 1826) and most often resulting in being transfer from one section to another and then eventually being cut off031 538 4000, 086 172 9727, 086 023 6289, 086 011 1826

We already went from pillar to post in trying to resolve the matter with multiple mail numerous phone calls but the whole issue kept ongoing in circles not solving the problem

The latest is a Sms that the account holder has been handed over for further action which is causing extreme stress to the account holder who already suffer from medical conditions

EDGARS SOUTH AFRICA

I paid my final installment (R194.18) on my account at Mall of the South on 16 Dec 2020 and asked for my account to be closed. I was told I would receive a SMS or email confirming the closure of the account. I phoned on 21 Dec 2020 and was told the account had been finalized and I would receive notification within 30 days that the account had been closed. I phoned again on 11 Jan 2021 to enquire and was assured that an email would be sent to me around 22 Jan 2021. I then received notification of a monthly service fee debit of R30. So phoned again on 25 Jan 2021 and spoke to Tekara, who assured me that she would send an email to the department requesting they close the account and reverse the R30 debit. On 2 Feb 2021, I once again phoned the Customer Services and spoke to Andile, who said he would escalate the matter to the manager and that I would hear from Edgars within 7 days. It is now 11 Feb 2021 and all I have heard is that an additional debit of R30 service fee has been added to my account. My account now stands at R60. I do NOT owe Edgars anything and they owe me a CREDIT OF R60 & CLOSURE OF MY ACCOUNT. On the last two occasions I have phoned, no one has answered the call. I am sure the excuse will be COVID 19 (which seems to get the blame for everyone's GROSS INCOMPETENCE).

Credit Refund

I have been trying to close my Edgars account since 05/11/2020. I overpaid by R300.00 so i have a credit with Edgars.
I have sent all the documentation as requested by them numerous times and everytime i call i keep getting the same feedback.
I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOUR INCOMPETANCE!!!!!!!!
YOU ARE WANTING TO STEAL MY MONEY.

Paid up account handed over to debt collectors.

My name is UM Panyane : Cell number 083 371 9841

I paid off my account and closed it in November 2019. Later I received a flurry of telephone calls telling me that I owe R500 in arrears. Upon inquiry I was told that I owe insurance which I knew nothing about .Strange enough the amount keeps on accumulating from R500 and now they say it is R1000.00. My understanding is that any insurance that is unpaid lapses instead of accumulating! But I still dispute that I took out any insurance with Edgars, especially when I have paid off and closed the account. On one occasion I went to Edgars Jabulani Mall to complain by I did not get any assistance. Then on several occasions I went to The Glen Mall where I was advised to send an email to a certain email account but it kept on bouncing back . Finally, I on the 28 of July 2020 at 13hrs 28 called the Edgars call center (after many days and hours of unanswered calls) and I was assured that the account was closed and given a reference number : 200728025184/50. However since then I am being harassed by debt collectors via SMSs and daily telephone calls. My name has been registered with the Credit Bureau thus affecting my credit status. I need Edgars to clear my name at the credit bureau and the debt collectors. This should be done in writing. Please assist.

I received my last statement 5 years ago, and after my retrenchment in 2016 I sent my retrenchment documents, as I have been paying for account insurance with Edgars since I opened the account.
This account should have been closed over 3 years ago. - now I see its listed on ITC for non payment!!!
I have been phoning and emailing, NO RESPONSE.

Payment made

Since the start of the lockdown in March 2020, I have been paying my Edgars account via my cell phone banking with no issues. All of a sudden for November 2020, Edgars has not received my payment I have made due to the migration to RCS which was confirmed by the Edgars advisor. I used the correct account details, correct reference number and yet no payment is reflecting. I have provided my banking proof to Edgars on numerous occasions. Edgars sent me an email stating my account is no longer on the collections department (I assume they have then allocated my payment) but yet I have them chasing me for an account which they claim is in arrears. They are charging me now collection fees and telephone fees BUT I HAVE PAID MY DAMN ACCOUNT! ITS NOT MY FAULT THAT THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY PAYMENT AND I SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ADDITIONAL LATE FEES. I WILL BE CLOSING MY EDGARS ACCOUNT SOON. TO HELL WITH EDGARS!!!!!!!

Account payment

Harassment

I closed my account with edgars due to months of issues i paid in cash and have proof of paynent i called in from the store to request that my account be closed and the cell phone insurance is cancelled,now they continue to send messages and call me to make arrangements to settle my account or i will be handed over as a slow payer and my credit record will be affected.

Harassment

After months of issues with edgars i decided to close my account and cancel my cell phone insurance ,i paid the accout in full ,i have proof of my payment,but yet they continue to harras me sending messages ,phoning me asking me to make payment arrangements,telling me they will list me as a slow payer and effect my credit record.

Assistance with protection plan

I have been a loyal customer to Edgars for many years. Due to the worldwide pandemic many of us have been retrenched and are in financial stress. I have been trying to contact Edgars by sending through emails as well as making phone calls to explain my situation however no one till date has assisted me. I have a protection plan on my account so I do not understand how this situation is complicated for Edgar's, as all these years they have been deducting the money for the protection plan. I am extremely disappointed with Edgars and their service. I have not experienced this as any other store as many of my other accounts have already been settled. Once my Edgars account closes I will never support them again.

I have a problem getting to sort out my mom and dad's Hollard insurance which was taken out through Edgars. and no one can help me they give me phone numbers after phone number, Spent so much money on phone calls it's unreal.

Refusal Account Closure - Credit Facility Administration

Account: 7000100100080741887 - My account has been in good standing with Edgars. Due to my account having a small balance, I have undertaken to pay my account and close the facility. I called the call center and got a closing balance which was paid in full an hour after balance was issued. I have requested for the account to be closed and confirmation of account closure to be sent to me. I received an sms from RCS advising on 27 November 2020 that I had a balance on my account. I raised a query on the entries reflecting on my account and was advised that there were Club fees (I have not authorised any club activation on my account). I have requested an update of my records to indicate that these fees are being charged without authorisation. Prior to the Call placed from the RCS agent, I have not had any communication relating to Edgars Club, I informed the agent that Edgars have not contacted me on my account whereupon they would have had been advised that their records are incorrect and the matter would have been resolved instead they placed my account under collections agents ( this is highly irregular - primary contact needed to have made by Edgards with their customer - unethical practice), Thereafter from the period November to date, my account remains open, unauthorised fees being charged and I have informed 6 agents about the error in their records, notification was provided to Edgars through the call recordings made between the agents and myself of the errors in the administration of my account and Edgars has had opportunities to correct their database and close my account. Every consultant that had called me had informed me that they are unable to rectify the incorrect information on the account and assist with the closing of my account. I have brought to their attention since August that all call recordings on my account bear evidence of my notification that my account has a zero balance, due to irregular administrative practices my account is being kept open to accrue amounts for malicious collection practices. I have subsequently received an sms indicating that my credit facility has been reduced due to a bad credit profile at Edgars. Please can I have a copy of my credit agreement which indicates that Edgars can refuse closure of my account and that without contacting me and reviewing my account which would have shown a payment bringing my balance to zero and that the credit facility is being used to charge fees that were not authorised and add interest. Please also advise on the date on which system changes were made to my account to add unauthorised club fees, the amounts that have been deducted which I would like refunded to me.

Edgars account settled over 5 months ago and a paid up letter requested numerous times. The same story of “we will request it again from our admin department”. It seems that management (or lack thereof) are in a 24hr meeting.

Try to settle a matter from the beginning of November 2020 - poor poor service- I did call and when I came through the operators dont take the call - can hear them at background and then end the call-
I did email hundred times with only auto response for high volumes and they will come back to me - no response!
Will never buy at Edgars Again - what a shame!!!!!!
Several other people I know of also have poor service!

One of the persons who made Contact with me was a Amanda but also could not help me through.

Closing of Edgars Account

I have an Edgars account and recently paid all the outstanding amount in order to close it because of I am not happy with the charges on my card. I made peace with their scam account and just wanted to pay what I owed and close the account but I was told I cannot close it immediately need to come after 7 working days, which I did come 13 December 2020 to close it to my surprise I was told I am owing R119.00 for Edgars card club , Insurance and another stuff I don't know of , I was just told a lot of nonsense . What frustrate me is settled the account why can't they just close it ? I was even told by the consultant at Edgars it wont help me to closing the account because there will be charges even after closing the account then they will take me to lawyers for arrears cause i would have told myself the account is closed while there were monthly charges every month.

Can Edgars manager explain to me what is it that needed to be done to close that damn account of yours ?
I was not paying for a house for Gods sake it is just an account what do I need to do to close the account ?
I am so disappointed of how much you rob poor people of their hard earned money just like that , You have scammed me for so many years what more do you want from me?
I have changes every month about R400 which i did not understand till today.
I just want to close the account please

Settlement

I have an account with Edgars that was settled on the 20th of August 2020 based on the settlement value received from their consultants via the sms. Now I received messages and phone calls that I owe 1700 and my account has been handed over. I asked consultants several times to investigate how come I owe whereas the account has been settled but nothing happened instead you will get phone calls everyday from different consultants and you need to repeat your story to each of them. I told them I am not going to pay that because the account is settled, now they hand me over.

Account payment

I have an account with Edgars which wa settled on the 20th of August 2020 based on the settlement value received from their consultants via the sms. Now I received messages that payment of 1117 is required and my account has been handed over. I asked Edgars consultants several times to investigate and provide feedback of what was the amount for because my account has been settled but none of them could provide feedback, I told them several times I am not going to pay back untill the matter has been resolved now they hand me over.

Fraud on Account

I received a statement from Edgars and i was shocked to see that I owed money on my account as we didn't buy anything because we have been trying to close this account for a while. On inspection of the account I noticed that there are now suddenly a Cell C Airtime Subscription on my account off which is not mine. I don't need to buy airtime from Edgars or any one for that matter as my wife and I have Vodacom Contract phones.
I have tried in vein to phone Edgars and sent mail after mail with no response or assistance. Only receive ticket number after ticket number. I refuse to pay this bill and it needs to be resolved. I will go to the extreme to get this resolved, even if I have to lay a fraud charge against them.

Payments on Closed account

I Closed my Account at Edgars Uitenhage after a long struggle of trying to close it.After I did it in shop and they assured me that my account is defnitely closed I still get reminders of outstanding payments.When I enquired I was told that it is for cellphone insurance that I cancelled more than 3 years ago as well as for the Edgars club which I also cancelled long ago.I was on the phone for more than an hour without any success and it is still expected of me to pay for something that is not my fault.This actually constitutes fraud because i am not aware of any transaction or agreements that I made with them after my stuff was cancelled.I am CarolAnn Christoffel.My last payment was on 20201101 an amount of R178. Why do I have to pay more money for an account that is closed.My husband.s account was closed on the same day as mine and he does not have any problems or reminders.

I've been calling Edgar's for 6 months now requesting for assistance with settling my account and was referred to RCS then after to Limbro thereafter Norman attorneys and neither of these people can find my account, I then called the NCR and I was advised that I should ask for a prescribed letter as this account has been inactive for more than 5years now. I spoke to a few consultants (Asanda, Nosiphiwo, Cindy...the list goes on and on) from the RCS who promised to send me this prescribed letter for my account,I even went and extra mile by providing the voice recordings of the consultants promising to send me this confirmation and nothing still. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional company to such an extent. I've suffered calling into a call center that cannot assist me....

Please help me get my prescribed letter from Edgar's!!!

FOR R1252.50 THE ONLY ONE ON THE SHELF IF I SPRAY IT ON THERE IS NO SCENT.
HOW CAN I PAY R1252.50 FOR AROMATICS WITH NO SCENT. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE STORE BUT THE MANAGER AND SALESLADIES REFUSE TO ASSIST, BUT ON THE BACK OF THE SLIP IS A REFUND AND EXCHANGE POLICY THAT STATES THAT EDGARS WILL GLADLY EXCHANGE OR REFUND ANY ITEM IF YOU ARE NOT COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH YOUR PURCHASE.
