Burned crackers

Crackers are cooked to long and come out over done. LOOK AT THE CREAKERS THEY ARE LITTLE ON ONE END BIG ON OTHER. THAT IS WHY THEY BURN.

too much salt

I bought a box of saltine crackers at Bi-Lo stores. There was so much salt on them they were inedible. The date on the box is 19,Aug. 15 AZ 101-2 14:26. Think that I'll stick to Zesty.

Nabisco Original Premium Saltine Crackers

Just opened a package of your crackers and was met with a CHEMICAL smell. I thought maybe something in the cupboard caused this, but there was nothing around the box that could have been responsible for this. For some stupid reason, I decided to taste one, and it tasted exactly as it smelled - LIKE CHEMICALS. I opened another pack and got the same smell. WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING NABISCO? Trying to kill us?

I went online to make a complaint, thinking I may be the first one to notice this, but I see that there are TONS of complaints about this already. I can't believe you haven't pulled these from your shelves. I am returning mine to my local Vons store, forcing them to smell them, taking a copy of the complaints I see on this blog, and requesting that they pull them from not only their store, but ALL Vons stores until you correct this problem. Shame on you Nabisco!

Nabisco Premium Saltine Crackers

Ever since Nabisco stopped packaging their Premium Saltine Crackers in waxed paper sleeves and started using the horrid plastic packaging instead, their crackers now SUCK! The plastic is not only extremely difficult to open but it makes the once delicious crackers taste like crap. Seems to me that the company has decided to forego the quality of this product in favor of the more modern and cheaper use of plastic...the source of many chemicals...which have no business coming into contact with anything that humans consume. The use of plastic that comes into direct contact with our food is slowly KILLING us. When are the major food companies going to wake up and start taking more responsibility for consumer safety of their products? If it's the expense of waxed paper that is causing the preferential use of plastic, maybe it's time to ask consumers what we think. I, for one, would be more than willing to pay a little more for a safely packaged box of saltiness crackers than to keep buying the cheapened version of what's available now. Seems like Nabisco once had the #1 brand of saltines...but not any more! Come on Nabisco...get back to the healthy basics and start caring about consumer health and the quality of your products once again. Take the lead in this effort and just watch how many consumer fans will once again fall in live with ALL of your products and start sending your profits through the roof once again. You've done it before...

Toxic Premium Saltin Crackers

I opened a bag of premium saltine crackers to add to my Chili this past weekend. I took one bite and thought something was off; I took another bite and realized the awful taste and smell of the saltines. I wrote the FDA today hoping for some response on health expectations. I have been extremely gassy and my stomach has not been feeling well since I had the couple bites. I should have made myself vomit like one of the other writers. Maybe a few more complaints to the FDA will raise a flag and start an investigation. I cannot believe the amount off blogs and complaints there are about Nabisco Saltines. There is seriously something wrong with the product, I love saltines and have been eating them for years, I don't think I will be eating any more.

Saltine Cracker Chemical Taste/odor

I opened the last sleeve of Saltines that had been in the cupboard for approx. 90 days. The immediate odor of chemicals and taste when I tried one was nauseating. I have no idea how this happened but it did. The source is clearly within the plastic packaging and undetectable outside of it.

taste and smell of saltine crackers

Have been eating and enjoying your crackers for all my life.but, lately, they just aren't the same. they taste bad and smell bad.
Maybe, it's a toxic taste and smell. I won't be buying anymore of your crackers. Not a good thing!!

toxic chemical taste and smell

I opened the box, opened the sleeve, and crumpled them into my soup. The bitter, chalky taste was overwhelming. The entire sleeve was contaminated. What is this? Have I poisoned myself with my one taste?

Please, Nabisco, take care of this issue!! I would never have believed that your company would miss this quality control error, much less allow it to continue!

Serious premium degradation

I am an expert on this cracker. The taste, the character of the crispness, the surface browning, the stack characteristics, the feel, the total presentation, ------indeed everything that historically made this one of the true excellent foods has now been lost. What does this mean? This opens the door for another baker to find a substitute. I know making a good cracker is hard! Making a good premium product is a feat of genius. The person who made this decision has made a serious tactical error. No longer should the name premium be used. My family over the decades have extolled the virtues of Nabisco Premium Crackers, but no longer. Somebody in charge should get this recipe back to its historical level. Remember Coke. New coke recipe. A damn boondoggle! Here New Cracker. No original premium offered. History is on my side. Imagine my disgust when I ate soup with those bland, white topped, flat faced, no salted and chewy gritty wheat cards. What a sad, sick commentary on Nabisco! Thank you for listening!

salt problem on crackers

I always get premium crackers. I won't buy anyother cracker. I made sure to get the salted kind. When I opened one package I ate a few, I really enjoy eating them with mountian dew. It's like my milk and cookies. Well I was really disappointed this time. All of the crackers in all of the packages hardly had any salt. They were disqusting. Being very cautious next time when I buy crackers next.

Premium Saltine Crackers

Ahhhh! I ate about 4 crackers in my soup tonight. 1st bite thought something was wrong, but i am a little paranoid. Second bite, definately something wrong. Went and smelled the box, horrible strong chemical smell. Can't believe i missed that! Afterwards, my belches tasted and smelled like the chemical, so I made myself vomit. Probably got most of it up, but now I am panicking. What was that??????? I can deal with stomach upset, has anyone had anything worse that I need to be aware of? I called the company's medical emegency line. No recalls or known issues with the product (they say).

Premium Saltine Crackers

This just happened to me as well, what is going on, what could possibly have made that smell? Luckily I didn't eat any of them the smell was so overpowering there was no way I was putting one of those crackers in my mouth. I don't think this has anything to do with trying to keep them crisp...I think something is very wrong in one of their manufacturing plants. Why won't Nabisco explain what is going on, I've read complaints about this very thing happening to people for over a year now, but it obviously doesn't affect every package of crackers...

Premium Saltine Crackers

I have purchased two boxes of Nabisco Premium Saltine Crackers and they both have been contaminated with a toxic smell and taste. I have seen other complaints on this subject and I have contacted the company. I can't believe they have not issued a recall. This is a dangerous health concern.

I agree, I had quit buying them, after 25 years. Whatever they have done to keep them crisp, had ruined the flavor.
