Hallmark

I am hard of hearing and until recently I have been able to watch your movies. Lately they have not had captions so they are worthless to me.

Unwholesome Movies

Hallmark has always been a network that I was not concerned about watching or sharing with my grandchildren...that is until today. Your "hallmark" has been clean, wholesome, fun movies that the entire family could watch and enjoy. All of this changed today when we turned on a movie and realized it was one of your "new, inclusive" same sex marriage movies. I can no longer be a part of a network that doesn't care about the conservative families but instead succumbs to a small percentage of the population. You took a stand and then when you received a little pressure you caved. My heart aches that we can't, as a family, trust your lineup. We won't be watching Hallmark anymore. I realize I have the option to pick and choose what I watch but I am not going to lend my kind of support to someone that clearly doesn't care about wholesome, family entertainment. We have spent many hours watching, DVR'ing and enjoying Hallmark movies but can not, in good conscience participate anymore. Please grow a backbone and return to the lineup you have always been known for. I will make it a matter of prayer that your hearts and conscience will be pricked and you will rethink your position.

Time to turn off Hallmark

Programming is no longer family friendly, without notice.
You had a good business model and left your roots to become another one of the crowd, no longer need to look at your programming, it is not good.

Abandoning conservative Christian values

Same sex marriage

My family and I - who have trusted Hallmark to be one of the only places on broadcast or cable that had not given into the gay mafia - will no longer be watching your movies and shows. Sorry but, bending to their demands that they not only be portrayed on screen but to have them getting married is too much. You lost our business.

Same sex marriage on a family channel

Dear Hallmark,
Who are the majority of people that watch the Hallmark Channel? Who are your commercials targeted at?
The reason I have chosen in the past to watch your channel is because there is just junk on most other channels. I quit watching the three main networks, NBC, CBS, ABC, years ago due to the trash that they promote as entertainment. Now I see you have joined the club, in regards to your same sex marriage movie.
I love to read and I have plenty of classic DVD’s. I will be well entertained.Good bye Hallmark. I’m sad for you. You just don’t get it. To coin an old phrase I believe you just “shot yourself in the foot.”

Wedding Every Weekend

Just a note to say I was very disappointed to see the wedding of two women and the kiss. These are movies that I have never seen unmarried people in bed. You might have had it but I didn't see it. Disappointed in you all - I will screen very carefully from now on. Just to make it clear, I love the gay community. I am a Christian and believe the lifestyle is against God's plan. Sorry to see you caved in.

Stunned and disheartened by your recent movie

Why did you choose to incorporate two women getting married, kissing, on your channel/network?! I was stunned and in agreement with multiple writers who have already voiced strong concern along with complaints.
...I am EXTREMELY disappointed that you chose to ruin this movie by including scenes catering to the LGBT agenda. It is a real shame and a sad day for loyal Hallmark Channel fans.
There are so many other writers here with complaints that echo my exact thoughts. Someone made a very observant post--do the Hallmark decision makers really think these persons pushing the LGBTQ agenda are going to be faithful viewers of Hallmark?? They won't unless the tide continues to turn with ugly/sexual scenes, etc. Your traditional standards, morals are now no longer consistent.

Hallmark Content

I have watched Hallmark programming Daily for 15+ years but no more. I have always enjoyed the family content and never missed a Christmas Movie but I refuse to have this new garbage Hallmark is seemingly trying to shove down my throat brought into my home. I am curious to see if the new content catering to same sex advocates will be able to sustain and support a once great network long term. I will be sure to pass this along to all my friends, family, and employees. Rest assured , I will contact any and all advertisers that support Hallmark’s new format and let them know why I will no longer use their products.

Same sex Marriage

For 10 years, Hallmark has been 1 of 4 channels allowed to run in the house with no concern of the kids walking in and seeing anything inappropriate. You have had solid family programming with no sexual content. But now you have felt the pressure to put a Same sex marriage and couple on your latest movie. You have gone against our Faith, our Bible, our traditional definition of Family. You preach family values and faith in your movies and hypocritically have put two women parading around holding hands and eventually ending in a wedding. You have transitioned to any old movie channel and now no longer stand out using values and founding family core dynamics.

Soundtrack

It seems that a great deal of dialog is overlaid by the non-vocal soundtrack. This can be particularly annoying in mystery movies where critical dialog fades into the background and is almost muted.

Same sex story line

Dear Hallmark,
I am so disappointed that you made the choice to give into pressure to produce a love story of a same sex couple. I have always valued and enjoyed your programming because I knew it was wholesome and never had to worry about what I would be watching. There is so much garbage on TV and in the movies and you have now stooped to that level. There are other networks that can produce these types of movies, why oh why did you give into the pressure to do this???
I am not naive, I know that same sex couples are here to stay but if they want this type of "entertainment" then why don't they start their own network.
You fired Lori Laughlin because of what she did and then you turn around and produce a movie showing two women getting married. Shameful and sad.
I will NOT be watching this new movie and will be praying over whether I will cancel my subscription.
Please Hallmark, don't make anymore of these types of movies.

Movies

Well you have made my viewing choices now much easier. At our house we only watch "traditional family value themed movies." I don't need to wake up in America. The Bible and it's scripture never changes just people do their values and that is why this country is in such a mess. We should not hate anyone or do harm because of their choices but for now we are allowed to have our opinions and vote with our time and pocketbook.

For those of you that are looking for good family viewing try the "UP Channel" . We have found that to be a great alternative and alot of the older movies that were once on Hallmark are now aired there.

Alot of channels are airing Christmas Themed movies. Not always the best but they don't pretend to be a station they are not as I watched this past weekend and had to explain why 2 ladies were kissing on the " Hallmark Family Channel ". I have family that quit viewing this past year , it just took us a little longer. Best wishes with you lowered family values.

Hallmark Channel

Hallmark channel should at least provide an advisory at the beginning of the airing of a movie if it contains provocative material such as LGBT, etc. The the viewer could decide whether to watch the presentation or not. We echo the came sentiment that we already have virtually every channel shoving these PC issues and agendas in our faces. We fell betrayed that Hallmark Channel is no longer a place for apolitical family entertainment. It was one thing when as an adult, you could recognize that there was a homosexual relation between minor support characters in a story, it is another for blatant actions. At least we have a collection of movies and mysteries from before this shift to the left. We will be watching them this Christmas season. I feel sorry for the fine actors who will be losing many of their fans over this. And we used to leave the receiver set to the Hallmark Channel all the time.

Hallmark Changes

Dear Hallmark Executives,

I have been a faithful watcher of Hallmark Channel for decades. I loved the movies because I knew what I could expect. A simply, clean love story. Where boy meets girl and they fall in love.

Now, Hallmark is starting to put same-sex couples together in the movies. Like, for instance, "Wedding Every Weekend." This makes me feel very uncomfortable and sad. I know you want make people start accepting LGBTQ as normal, but I cannot and will not. And I hope and believe there are a lot of people out there like me who want a basic story between a man and a woman.

If you cannot stop, you should at least have a notification at the beginning that states, "Same-sex relationship included." Or, "Warning, same-sex relationship." If you cannot do that, then I will have to say "Goodbye" to my long tradition of watching the Hallmark Channel (that I have enjoyed for so long).

Thanks for listening.

Wedding Every Weekend Movie Scenes

I am a longtime fan of the Hallmark Channel and have watched it for many years. I am very saddened to say that if you continue to air movies like "Wedding Every Weekend" which aired on August 15, 2020 and included 2 females marrying each other and kissing mouth to mouth on screen, my husband and I will have to change our cable package to exclude the Hallmark channel.
I am EXTREMELY disappointed that you chose to ruin this movie by including scenes catering to the LGBT agenda. It is a crying shame and a sad day for loyal Hallmark Channel fans.

While your decision may gain you a few LGBT viewers, this will be at the expense of losing several thousands of your loyal followers and fans who love and support wholesome family programming.

Please reconsider your direction for future films if you plan to continue to be considered a family friendly channel with a large number of loyal fans and followers. I agree with others who have commented that there are plenty of other channels who offer the LGBT community the movies they want to see where their lifestyle is highlighted and celebrated.

content of movies,commercials

I have been a viewer of Hallmark movies for years, but if the trend for the inclusion of LGBT content and characters becomes a part of their movies and commercials, I will ban the Hallmark channel from my viewing time. I was crushed recently when I viewed "Wedding Every Weekend" and saw two lesbian women kissing and marrying. Hallmark's claim for "quality family entertainment" is ruined and so was my viewing pleasure. I am disappointed in Hallmark for condescending to a small minority who have abandoned traditional, Christian family values. Hallmark will lose a large viewing audience if they take this route.
I have also noticed the advertisement of and increased use of alcohol by the characters in their movies. As a nation of people battling alcohol addiction, why is a channel that still features the traditional Christmas carols and message of the birth of Christ, promoting and encouraging the use of alcohol in so many movie scenes and commercials? Now Hallmark will be selling alcohol!!

Disappointed

I am so disappointed. This is the first time I have turned off a Hallmark Movie (Wedding every weekend) - very sad because I watch them all.

I hope your new demographic keeps you going because you may lose your existing customer base.

LGBTQ Programming

Why are you changing the wonderful Hallmark channel I have loved for years? Tonight I watched the first hallmark movie I disapproved of. Why would you do this when the LGBTQ community is not going to support your channels or your Hallmark stores? Your are attempting to accommodate a group that will never be satisfied until you have completely morphed into promoting their point of view 100 percent. Your brand was unique but now you are like all the other channels, so this is good-bye.
Tonight, I am removing the Hallmark app from my phone and Monday, I will return my Warm & Cozy Christmas ornament to the Hallmark store. Sometimes you have to boycott to stand up for your beliefs.

The downfall of a once great family channel

Dear Hallmark Representatives......
You blinked first and now you will lose the very people you once proclaimed as valued “family” members. First you tried to sneak in a gay male couple in Love Under an Olive Tree. When I realized how subtile their introduction was and how you almost got away with it, I immediately turned the channel. I don’t need to watch that kind of junk. Then tonight you decided it was the women’s turn to flaunt good values when you aired Wedding Every Weekend.
I have watched the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries or Hallmark Channel since its’s beginning. I watch either channel from October until January because Christmas means a great deal to me and my family and the values I grew up with were once mirrored in your movies and series. But no more. Even your ads have changed and they reflect your changing values.
If you even make one Christmas movie with a homosexual couple, you will lose millions of viewers.
You may not care about who you lose. You will see that the brief introductions you have already given them to feed their demands will soon not be enough and they will demand more.
You have lost me.....what a shame you can’t see or refuse to see what you had was more valuable than giving in to the new “cultural diversity” standard which is nothing but political garbage meant to destroy family values.

Turning Hallmark Off. Changed values.

Hallmark claims to promote being a family channel, but I am not watching anymore. I was watching a new movie and was shocked to see a wedding kiss that does NOT promote family values, but potical agenda and propaganda...how disappointing! I have been a faithful watcher of Hallmark for years and have never had to worry about watching these movies with my children...until now. I cannot trust this channel and won't support this new direction.

Hallmark Channel

I do NOT want to watch movies about homosexuals getting married. Tonight I started watching a few minutes after the beginning of the new Saturday night movie "Wedding Every Weekend." I didn't expect the plot to contain a wedding between two women. When I discovered that I turned it off immediately, in mid-movie.

I am sad to see that Hallmark Channel is sacrificing its integrity in order to indoctrinate people that wrong needs to be tolerated as "ok," or to condition people to accept immoral behaviour.

Until now I have been so pleased to watch your movies which have consistently been wholesome and in line with God's word. There are so few companies filling that need in entertainment. However, you have shaken my belief in your integrity.

I have never written a review of a television program before. But tonight's movie was unacceptable. I suspect that there are others who feel the same way I do. I hope you will consider the people who have been your loyal viewers until now, and not try to pass off wrong as right going forward.

Hallmark Channel

It saddens me to see the way Hallmark has let the world change them to offer the kind of movie that was showing tonight. As a Christian, the Hallmark Channel movies were the ones I thought we could trust, like Signed, Sealed, Delivered. Not anymore, you have made your decision. This world is falling apart and you aren't doing anything to help it. Only God can change hearts.

LGBTQ AGENDA

I have been a loyal viewer of Hallmark movies and I was totally disgusted tonight as I watched two women holding hands and I already heard that this platform was being forced down our throats. This has always been a family friendly channel and now I do not want my children or granddaughters to watch this. This platform is so far from what God designed for marriage. God designed marriage for a man and a woman, not two men and not two women. This is all about the almighty dollar. Please reconsider airing this agenda. Hold your ground and return to decency. Children are watching, but more importantly, God is watching.
