empty cups....

It may seem like an innocuous detail - but it's maddening to see the actors waving around empty cups that supposedly contain coffee or tea. It's silly and very, very obvious. Please, for the love of God, actually put something in the cups.

Otherwise you're all great.

Hallmark Channels

I enjoy watching both Hallmark movies/mystery and the Hallmark channel movie; however many of the things being shown are repeats over and over again. If this is going to be this way through the Christmas holiday it is time to discontinue watching them. Enough is enough! It would not be so bad if there were new ones, but repeating these movies from last year is a little to much. Therefore, it is time to move to other move channels until Hallmark returns to its regular programming.

people of all man kindif you didnt

every year round this time I begin to watch the hallmart channel because I know the holidays are not far away. I love the love stories the mystery and the unknown. watching this channel makes me happy sad lonely and happy all over again, but what my complaint is that there is no color in your Christmas stories, I need to see some black Asian Mexican indian and BLACK in your Christmas programs. its like people of color don't have mystery love and miracles during the holidays but we do! and I love watching the Christmas movies every year this time but it really upset me that your not a company and believe in miracles love and blessings for all. I will continue to watch but not as I once did because I believe that as people no matter the color we all have downfall losses love happiness and blessings. thank you for taking the time to read this complaint if you did.

More diversity

I, along with many other people of color love watching your movies, especially during the holidays. Though I see that you have sprinkled in a few African America supporting roles, still hardly any lead actor and actresses as love interests. This really needs to change because the world is made up of all different races and ethnicities. We need to see that diversity in your shows as leads. This is important to your viewership, so I hope it’s important to you.

Thanks

Please Explain

I enjoy watching the Hallmark Christmas movies, however there is something I don’t understand. Please explain why you don’t feature African Americans as leads in your movies? Isn’t it time to do what is right by choosing to represent the culture with truth? Do you think AAs don’t feel, or love the same as other cultures? We need positives just like other cultures do. Do you think AAs don’t Love Christmas and WHO it represents? What is wrong with featuring African Americans in the same roles as the other cultures? I don’t mean stereotypical or foolish representations either. I am speaking of talented, gifted, and challenging roles just like you already have. At the rate you are going you are holding a race of people in second place roles- not good enough for first place or lead. We all know there are very talented actors to fill these lead parts. Please explain. Thanks

Logos

Please remove the Red Christmas Decoration countdown and other logos. I can’t seem to enjoy the wonderful Christmas movies for all of the junk on the screen. Of course there’s nothing on the screen to interfere with the myriad of commercials. Hmmmm.
I really enjoy the Holidays and the Hallmark Channel. But I loathe all of the logos. And that goes for every channel I watch. I pay for the service. I should not have to peek between logos to get a glimpse of the movie which is almost totally blocked by logos.
I mean all year round not just at Christmas. It is very annoying and irritating.

Christmas Movies

Hallmark, you are universally known and praised for your timeless, heart-warming Christmas Movies. Several years ago, the movies were amazing and I loved watching each special, individual story, but now, I feel like you all are just taking the good ravings and reviews and running with it, spitting out a Christmas movie every 60 seconds. The movies are losing their quality. And producing as many as you do now, they all seem the same and are not very good anymore. Don't get in such a rush to produce movies. That does not result in better reviews and ratings, not if the movie quality is worse. Take the time to make special, unique stories, and make a good number of phenomenal movies rather than tons of cookie cutter, different character names and actors, so so movies. Some good examples of classic, great movies you have are A Bride for Christmas, A Princes for Christmas, Call Me Mrs. Miracle, etc. The ones in this year, and the past 1-2 years just do not meet those standards. Something has changed, and it just makes me hope that you all will return to your old standards of high quality, unique movies. Maybe there is still hope, because I love Hallmark at Christmas time. I would love to see this advice considered.

Diversity

I have ALAWYS loved the Hallmark Christmas movies as this is my favorite time of year! I love them so much that I own many of them so that I can watch them anytime. I do care that you continue to exclude people of color or we are left to small, quck line roles. I would love to see some of the same beautiful stories with people of color or other ethnicities. We love snow, ice skating, making gingerbread houses and the wonderful activities that go along with holliday. You had Holly Robinson Peete host 1 of your preview shows and that was nice, but it seems like you are afraid or you don't feel that we would bring in viewers. Please consider shaking things up a bit. People of color love Christmas and the warm, fuzzy feelings that come along with it. I won't stop watching, but I hope that you will consider adding some more diversity.

Big Red Ornament

I love the Hallmark Channel, I really do and the Christmas movies make my season. But, whoever thought that putting a big red countdown clock that takes up a quarter of my screen was a good idea. News flash-They Were Wrong!!! I tried to deal with it but the more I tried to look past it the irratated I got. So, I have decided that I can live without the Hallmark Channel this year. Hopping that maybe common sense will win out over greed next year, but I truly doubt it. Will check back next year.
Merry Christmas.

Please show more like me!!

I love the holiday season and watching the Christmas movies Hallmark presents. It is a refreshing change from the reality shows that inundate our televisions throughout the year. For many years now I've noticed the lack of diversity in Hallmark's movies. However, I try and focus mainly on the love message rather than the ethnicity (or lack thereof) of the actors. Most recently, my 10 year old asked me "why are all of the Christmas movies with only white people?." I couldn't genuinely answer her question especially since it is a question I have internalize for many Christmases. How is it possible, that in today's world, Hallmark chooses to ignore their lack of diversity in their holiday films (well all of their movies, really)? There are no Hispanic-Americans, African-Americans, Asian-Americans, Indian-American etc. representation in their films and though it has been tolerated, perhaps, by the older minorities it is becoming more obvious to the younger ones. Hallmark, please quickly change this conception of your company and hire minorities in your films OR get rid of your CEO and hire one who appreciates this melting pot of a world we live in...oh and yes, Mr. Abbott, we can travel to Canada for tapings.

ps, to those who complain about the 24/7 holiday movies, please be considerate. Even when combined, your 'regular' shows play waaay more than the holiday movies throughout the year. Can we holiday movie lovers get just a li'l piece of the pie? Sheesh!

Diversity

Greetings Hallmark, I just wanted to let you know I love when November first approach. I love watching the holiday love stories and the enjoyment of the holiday. Watching these movies really gets me in the Christmas spirit. However, I am a little disturbed that there is not any love stories of African-American. I saw one movie where it was a very large black woman who was attending college. Her character was as a child her mother was addicted to drugs, her mother sold her for drugs, there was family violence,
her father had nothing to do with her, and she lived in foster homes throughout her childhood and youth. Not all African-American comes from deprived or troubled families. I have never seen a Hallmark holiday movie where the love connection
was that of a very large white woman, who mother was addicted to drugs, sold her for drugs. All your holiday movies are that of a beautiful shaped white woman not a large size woman (size 20-24). If you can explain this to me?? To me this is showing young children that only whites can fall in love. I am by no means prejudice.
Thank you,
Tara

I love the Christmas movies but.....

I really enjoy the Christmas movies! They put me in the holiday spirit and I feel that this is the heart of the Hallmark Channels. These movies express so much love and caring and I think we may need more of that in the world, however I would like to see more diversity of color in the movies. This is more of a concern then a complaint. Hallmark you rock with me, just rock with a little more diversity! Merry Christmas and God bless!!!!
*Please don't stop the movies because they are more for you than against you.

Everything in Moderation

When does the countdown to Christmas end & regularly scheduled shows resume? I love the Golden Girls, Frazier, Cheers & I Love Lucy & used to dvr them to watch, as they are on latenight.
It is ludicrous to begin a countdown to Christmas from October 27th through Christmas. A few movies here & there is fine. Has The Hallmark channel ever heard of the addage, " too much of a good thing" or "everything in modertion?"This is so utterly frusterating to those of us who like the regular schedule.

Christmas movies for 2 1/2. Months all day

We also enjoy the regular programming rather than have repeat holiday movies going on and on and on. By the time Christmas comes I wish it was all over over. It takes the special time of year feeling away. Also does the same when you show them during the summer.
We would like to know why this is happening. Does it sell more ornaments or what?! Please keep Christmas special and don't wear us out and down for so long. At least wait until after thanksgiving.
Until you are done we will be watching other channels. Sorry, but I just can't take it for so long.

Frustrated

Halloween and Thanksgiving are important holidays as well and I think it is ridiculous how Hallmark channel totally ignores these holidays just for Christmas. I just want you to know that I stop watching Hallmark channel until the start of the New Year when Golden Girls come back on.

lack of diversity

I am frustrated by the lack of diversity in your movies. I have been watching Hallmark movies while folding laundry in case my children sit down and watch with me; I didn't want any objectionable content. But then I realized that just as objectionable as violence or sex is presenting a world where only white, straight people get to fall in love. And I say this as a white, straight person. This is not the message I want my children to internalize as movie after movie is about straight, white couples. This is 2017, for goodness' sake. I've seen that these complaints go back years and all you've done is add a black friend here or there. Please make movies that reflect the beautiful diversity in ethnicity, religion, and family structure in America.

lack of diversity

I have been watching Hallmark movies while folding laundry because I figured there wouldn't be anything objectionable if my children sat down with me to watch. But then I realized that Hallmark movie land is a world of a white, straight people. And I say this as a white, straight person. This doesn't reflect the world around us, and I don't want my children to receive the message that this is how the world should be. It's 2017, for goodness' sake.

Hallmark Movies and Mysteries

I love the mysteries on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. You could bring on more mysteries!! The old ones are great...Rockford Files, Cannon, Barnaby Jones, more Columbo...

I am always disheartened when the Christmas movies become 24/7 way before Thanksgiving to after Christmas. I like the mysteries better. In fact, I've signed off on the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries until after this is over. I could understand saturating the Hallmark Channel with Christmas, but why do the mystery channel too?

Bring back the mysteries!!!

Christmas programming

I'm a great fan of the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries Channel. I think more mystery movies and less romance/drama movies should be played. I'm totally disappointed in the fact that it is nothing but Christmas programming 24/7 now. I'm not watching now because I don't subscribe to the Hallmark Movies and Mystery Channel for Christmas shows. I think it would be fine for the Hallmark Channel, but why use both channels. I'm not watching...I'm not buying products from your advertisers. I hate this programming every year. Please stop overwhelming us with Christmas stories. One channel is enough. Bring back the mysteries!!!

Christmas Movies

I have to agree with most. I love the regular programming on the mystery channel, but have no intention of watching 2 months of Christmas movies. I wonder if the sponsors realize how many viewers you lose from October thru December. Many viewers have a short attention span, in over two months, it's easy to change viewing habits.

TOO MANY Christmas movies for TOO LONG!!!

I love both Hallmark Channels....until October because that's when the madness begins.
Why would you choose to play nothing but Christmas movies 24 hours a day for 2 moths on BOTH Chanel's?
It's just way too much!
Even one channel would be too much but both channels are ridiculous.
Please keep in mind that not everyone is happy at this time of year. There are many who just get by during this season....and do not need the fairytales of these cheesy movies shoved in their faces.
I do not watch the Hallmark Chanel's for 2 months.
Please, please, please remove the Christmas movies from at least one channel!
