love on ice

i am disgusted about the absolute blatant plagiarism in your new movie "love on ice." Almost everything was copied from the hit anime that just ended "Yuri on Ice." the plot was taken, even the damn title was a rip off. not only that but of course you had to make the couple straight as well. Yuri on Ice was such a big hit because of the love between two men. I guess we can't have anything nice, can we? The complete story line of your new shitty movie is a wonderful example of plagiarism at its finest. Honestly you should feel awful for trying to get away with this. It's very disrespectful to the original creator and the wonderful people who took their time to create the beautiful show that is Yuri on Ice. This is plagiarism and a completely pathetic rip off of a beautiful show about skating and the relationship between two MEN.

I watch your channel faithfully throughout the year and always love the movies. I just finished seeing the Christmas Note and I have to tell you IT WAS FANTASTIC. The actors were wonderful, as so authentic, especially the two main actresses. For the very first time I actually cried! Oh, I always talk about the movies with my other Hallmark diehard fans but this one just blew me away. Don't get me wrong, all of your actors are very good but these two were wonderful! I am just in....I don't know how much more I can gush about this movie. Keep them coming. I also plan to check out more of your website. This is the very first time I actually googled you or any station for that matter but I just had to take the time to thank you for this movie. Thank you and God Bless.

I LOVE that your station plays Christmas movies well after Christmas!!! In fact I'm sad that they are already over on Jan 2nd. I actually recorded several of them so I can keep watching them in January when I get sad Christmas is over. As for the folks who think 60 plus days of Christmas movies is too much... not me... I say bring it on!!!!! I love that when all the other stations have moved on, I can rely on HM to bring me Christmas cheer.

Love the Christmas movies

My family have has been making fun of me because I am ADDICTED to the Hallmark channel! And the funny thing is, I normally hate Christmas movies. But I LOVE all the Hallmark movies. And have been obsessively watching them since they started around Thanksgiving. I love the fact that they're happy, romantic and can be watched by the whole family. The content is family oriented. And I love your selection of actors. I've grown attached to certain ones. I have especially enjoyed the fact that they run all night, because as a person with sleep issues, I can unwind watching something light, even late at night. But now I'm sad that all the fun has ended. I really can't stand Golden Girls and Fraser, so I guess I'm back to reality and watching other channels. I am now going through withdrawals....But thank you for producing such fun movies! I'll be back next year!

Christmas movies

Was excited at the thought of Christmas movies starting Nov. 1, but disappointed in your selections. Many reviewers are right it's the same old formula, with the same actresses. I found I liked the older movies better than the newer ones. And I don't understand why there wasn't at least a rerun of Signed, Sealed, Delivered Christmas show. I was expecting a new one and was very disappointed. My personal taste, and it's just my opinion, the Single Santa seeks Mrs. Claus type movies are lame, but I did like Cancel Christmas. There was a Christmas movie, made many years ago with James Garner and Julie Andrews, it was called
One Special Night, I think. Couldn't you make or get some movies like that. Please think about changing your formula, and
also not showing the new movies, every other day,
Thanks for your time.

Will like more diverse cast in Christmas movies

It is hard not to see any leading actors of color in your movies. It's as we Latinos, African American, Native Americans or Asian and Pacific Islanders do not celebrate it, when many of us do. Please adopt a mist diverse casting and story narrative to include what is becoming a majority in the US!
Thanks!

Too many Christmas Movies

8 -10 weeks of Christmas movies...
Too much!!
There are other religions with December holidays...
Maybe show Black Families celebrating Kwanzaa, Jewish Families celebrating Hanukkah, or BETTER YET, neighborhoods celebrating ALL HOLIDAYS ....Together!
Diversity is AMERICA.... THANKSGIVING too!
Native American Holidays too....
We are all HALLMARK VIEWERS.....
We'd all like to be represented ....
Thank you....Laurel Levine

Too much Christmas with same plot

I used to love the Hallmark channels, but most all the movies have the same plot with a very predictable outcome. Please write new story lines, add suspense, and vary the actors and actresses. My other suggestions: Shorten the Countdown to Christmas to Thanksgiving through Christmas. Skip Christmas in July. I boycott HM that two weeks. Bring back The Waltons and Little House on the Praire in the afternoons. Extend Home and Family to two hours, and stop the reruns. I miss Christine and feel bad for her. Debbie and Mark are doing a great job, though. Show Martha Stewart shows. You have a great channel. Don't lose viewer loyalty. Listen to your viewers.

Too many new not enough old

I LOVE the bombardment of Christmas movies, and I love that they play through New Years. What I don't like and have complained about a couple years ago is that too many new, poorly written, same old romantic themed plots are all that airs. Christmas is about hope, love (not just romantic), family, and ultimately Christ. Where are the movies that used to be shown.

So many movies are parallel to other movies with different actors. Stop rushing the writing and production for the sake of quantity and write one or 2 and focus of quality. I miss the old hallmark channel movies and watch less and less each year. Up plays more appropriate Christmas movies and lifetime plays older favorites.

Stop mass producing junk and focus on making timeless classics people will want to watch every year.

I looove the weeks and weeks of Christmas movies! I'm a busy mom of six and don't have hours a day to watch TV (hard to imagine watching so much TV that I would get sick of anything!), and it's wonderful to have a couple channels providing sweet little Christmas movies at all times throughout the whole big season. We just love it! It is a blessing to be able to watch these movies and not have to worry about any profanity, vulgarity, or violence. Such a blessing for me and our whole family! We enjoy so many of these movies. We are thankful Hallmark provides something on TV that is increasingly, exceedingly rare...wholesome programming (down to types of commercials aired!), and we appreciate it very much.

Along those lines, my only suggestion/hope is that "Little House on the Prairie" will return to weekday afternoons...that show is just a wonderful change of pace from the countless sitcom reruns everywhere, and my whole family loves it! Please consider, thanks so much!

Time to get rid of Christmas Movies!

Time to get rid of your sappy Christmas movies! Two solid months of them is more than enough. I, for one have been tuning out
during this time. I may have to delete my Hallmark channel if you don't have more interesting variety in the coming months!

OVER IT

Ok it's 2017....Christmas is OVER!! Let's hang up the hat of Christmas movies. Halloween is much to early to start with the Christmas stuff and past New Years is too long. Move on to new movies or something. Murder She Wrote is played out as well as some of these other shows you play. Time to turn over a new leaf.

lack of diverse races, cultures & religions

I've loved Hallmark movies since I was a kid and I'm now in my 50's. But, as a Jewish person, I don't remember the past story lines being so white and Christian ethnocentric. What I always liked was the important values of family, and other values like honesty, respect, good decision-making, and charity, to name a few. What is going on now? Especially with months of just Christmas movies and nothing else. What a shame that they only want to cater to the majority and not broaden anybody's perspectives, which is unrealistic in our diverse world we live in. Maybe Hallmark should change the cable channel name to reflect what their hidden agenda is? Maybe I'll stop buying Hallmark cards for now on too!

Suggestion Christmas 2017

We love the new movies, but miss the old. Suggesting during the 2017 countdown to Christmas, pick one day... like every Wednesday, mid-week, give it a festive name and show only hallmark and other christmas movies from the past.

Christmas movies

Hello,

I am a Hallmark Channel Fan and I love what you do. I love the positive nature of the network and I love the Christmas movies, they're my favorite! I love that you allow us to celebrate Christmas all through the end of the year. I love that you bring new movies every year, it think it's great and I think you should keep doing it. My only gripe with this year was there were so many new ones. Don't get me wrong I love that you create new movies every year but this year I found some of the movies hard to follow, the writing in them felt rushed, as if it wasn't thought out or just thrown together. I didn't like that. I understand you want to be new and exciting but at the same time, as a writer, I know a script isn't done until it's done. My only suggestion for next year would be to continue to create but not so many, maybe Saturdays are the only days that get new movies. I hope that you will take time to consider writing the script in good time and making it a cohesive and well thought out production.

I also didn't get to see some of my favorites at all, like Mr. Miracle, I love that one, it aired once at 5am... I caught the last 10 mins of it as I got dressed for work, bummer (I was sad about that). I like A Boyfriend for Christmas, It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year and countless others. I hope we can mix those in more next year. I know Hallmark has a huge body of work and it grows every year, I just hope we can find other ways to mix the old and the new.

Lastly, there is a huge lack of diversity in the casting of the movies. People of color are not fairly represented as lead roles, supporting or in many on screen capacities. I hope this can be addressed. I love what you do but I also want to see more people who look like me in your movies. Not looking for stereotypes or stereotypical situations, same writing styles but just open up the color wheel for leads and supporting. I hope I'm not terribly rude in my writing but I did want to express my feelings about this season. I love what you do and thanks for giving Christmas people like me a place to feel at home!!! I'm excited for Winterfest 2017!!!

Months of Christmas Movies

Thank you January, Christmas movies are over with!

I have not watched either Hallmark Channel for over 60 days. On October 31st, I tuned in to see what great mysteries I could watch and found the Christmas movies had started. On Halloween!! Really!!! Unbelievable! I haven't watched anything on your channels since and I didn't miss the bombardment of the same old stuff. There are other channels to watch and Christmas movies to see. What about playing Thanksgiving movies around Thanksgiving. There are some, you know.

The day after Christmas I tuned in, thinking mysteries movies would be back on but no....more Christmas. Today I went to see what's playing today, New Year's Eve Day and found Christmas Movies through Monday!!! Enough is enough Christmas. Stop trying to recoup your production costs on playing Christmas movies for 3 months, year after year, if you care about your viewers.

In checking the guide I noticed, on Monday, in the wee hours of the morning you are playing some really good movies I haven't seen while I am sleeping! Monday night were back to the same old schedule Murder she wrote, etc., with nothing new and none of the movies I missed last year. Can't you mix it up a bit? You've been on this schedule for years, now. Stop playing the same reruns of Murder She Wrote, etc. It was on for 12 seasons but yet we see the same bunch over and over. Same with the other older series.

I have been a avid fan of Hallmark since the beginning and especially thrilled when it went to mysteries and the anticipation of new mysteries. What's aggravating is...If I miss the original air date of a new movie or series, I loose since they are not all "On Demand" either. There's a slew of movies I missed last year and will, most likely, miss this year. Which, in turn, will lead me to new stations.

What I think you don't understand about some of us...is that 60 days of no mystery movies is an extremely long time which will lead us to other stations. If that is your goal, you are succeeding. Your may have to put aside Christmas ad profits in lieu of, viewer loyalty.

There is a time and a place for everything. Since you have 2 channels, leave the mystery channel alone. No Christmas in July and Thanksgiving week through Christmas show Christmas and mysteries. It gives us something to look forward to even if they are reruns. Starting on Halloween, on the Mystery Channel, is just ridiculous! If you put profits over viewer preference, you will ultimately loose viewers. After all...there are hundreds of stations, I have found quite a few new ones in 60 days.

In your defense, I did appreciate only 2 weeks of Christmas in July. I didn't watch then but 2 weeks went by fast and mysteries were on again. After all, it was summertime.

I do enjoy the new movies and series but could you pick up some other mystery series we haven't seen yet in the last 5 years. That sure would be enjoyable. I wonder how many Agatha Christie's, or Murdock, or Miss Marple there are? I hope things change a bit. I sure did enjoy it while it lasted.

Mixed races

Every movie...there are only one set of race featured. Once in a while u get a black person thrown in here and there like an after thought. What's the deal? Is Hallmark only restricted for certain colour and race?

Mix races movie

I love watching the Hallmark channel, but one thing that I see missing is that there are no black leading actors/actress. I think with movies with interracial couples with catch move viewers.....please consider my request.

Too many months of Christmas movies

I used to be an avid Hallmark channel watcher. There was a nice variety of mysteries, sappy romantic comedies and neutral detective shows.

Well, I am really sick of now being bombarded with three months of Xmas movies. All of November and December, plus Xmas in July. Give me a break. I am sure you are losing viewers by re-cycling the same old movies again and again.

This is a country of various faiths. There are many people of Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, Moslem, agnostic, athiest, Jehovah's Witness (who don't celebrate Xmas) persuasions.

You will continue to lose viewers if you persist in having shows that people are sick of watching.
