Hi i just wanna know how long do i still have to wait for my fathers death claim money to pay out i really need that money urgent before 23feb2017 please. I put in the claim 23november2016 and they said 2months its going in for3months now. Please guys i need it ASA

MEIPF/MIBFA

Hi

My father died at age 80 (not working any more) whilst still receiving a pension. I am the only child and he was divorced from a second marriage. My own
mother died years ago. I am the beneficiary in his will.

Please advise if his pension is transferrable to me and what forms should be filled with MIBFA/MEIPF

Waiting on my late fathers surplus

Its been a very long time my mother is struggling to get my fathers money. Everytime we phone they have another story. Phoned in yesterday they cant find my mothers bank form. She told me they going email her a bank mandate form. That was yesterday and still nothing. Please my mother really need this to be sorted out.

I need my claim paid out pleasw

Good day Mibfa, I have submitted my claim on the 4 of Jan 2017, I do know it's not been a long date to wait,but me and my family do need the money as we do not have anything to eat, I called your jhb offices thrice one guy said it'll be paid in by the 10th of Feb 2017, the I phoned again today and was told it will be paid before the en of this month then I called again just to make sure, then I was told that it will take 7 to 14 days, I just need to know when it will happen because we now have to borrow money from family just to get by and something to eat...

Surplus fund

Good day,

I applied for my Surplus claim payout, I hand delivered my documents to the JHB branch. on the 29/06/2016. I was advise to phone in a months time by the NOT SO FRIENTLY STAFF for the following 4 months the answers I got was the Fax is down we are of line phone in two weeks. Mibfa will email me my Bank Mandate form for two months I waited and phoned to get my Bank mandate in October 2016 Justin Paul <[email protected]> emailed me the Bank Mandate form
I then post the Bank Mandate to Mibfa on the 01-11-2016 I received an sms by Mibfa to confirm that they received my bank mandate form for assessment I waited a month no answers from Mibfa I then phoned on the 8 of December 2016 and the reply was it is in the proses and I should get my money in the next couple of days I then phoned on the 20 Jan 2017 and the answer once again it is with the finance department for payment I was told over the phone to call back in two weeks. when I phoned this morning 31 Jan 2017 I was once again told by Langa That I must phone back in two weeks Langa the representative of Mibfa told me I must just remember that I am not the only person waiting for my money there is other people also waiting for there money and that the finance department is doing there best now. I am not sure but I think 4 months is a very long time.to give me a direct answer

It looks like Mibfa is delaying the proses on purpose if you ask the operators to put you through to the Finance department they will cut you of put the phone down and refuse to transfer your call to the finance department

The latest is I will be contacted by Mibfa to confirm my banking details when ask when we don't know but soon

MIBFA is doing everything to avoid paying out this money

If you read the complains list on Mibfa web site it is clear that not just me but a lot of other people also complain exactly over the same thing Mibfa is delaying payment .In October 2016 I took my forms in to the JHB branch the staff of Mibfa was not very help full a specially if you can not speak the staffs language

MIBFA - Surplus Claim Payout Delay

Good day,

Did apply for Surplus claim payout, and hand delivered all docuemtation to your Johannesurg offices on 06/05/2016. After one month off submittion I a start to follow up, and for the next 4 months I will received answers like it is esculated, phone next month, system currently down, phone tomorrow, file is open they busy working on it, evertyhing is approved - it wil takes about 3 weeks for payout.... When I phone back again after a month and by the 5th month already past from submittion date, they advise me they want a Letter of Authority that states the Suprlus Amount and not the Letter of Authority I did submit - in your docuemtation it only state "'Letter of Authority"?

While I did awaits the revised Letter of Authority I spoke with 3 diffrent Agents to confirm how to submit the Letter of Authority - and all 3 confirm I can fax the documentation and supply me of a fax number. I did send you the fax on 05/01/2017. On 06/01/2017 your Callcentre Agent confirm that they did received the fax, on 12/01/2017 I phone again to follow up, and the Callcentre Agent said the next step is a telephone call from your offices to verify the banking details, and payment should not take longer than 3 weeks.

When I did not received that call from your offices, I phone back on 27/01/2017 just to be informed that faxes are not excepted anymore, I must submit or post the Letter of Authority. Really???? Everytime it is something else - everytime the "rules keep on changing"??? This will be now the 3rd time I need to go to Johannesburg - It appear to me that MIBFA doing evertything to avoid paying out this money, and I want to know why because we going now for 9 months.

Surplus Claim: Estate Late KP Lottering

Good day

I have submitted my claim as the Executor of my dad's estate for the Surplus Claim due to myself and my brothers, over 5 years ago. I I have on numerous occasions been in contact with the fund. I have had to send documents several times and I even made the long trip from Port Elizabeth to Johannesburg to submit the documents personally - to NO AVAIL...... All the call center agents can tell me is to phone back after 2 weeks. It is now 5 years and nothing. I was given the number of Mr John Adam except I unfortunately misplaced it and now am back to square one and no one can assist me.

PLEASE could someone contact me urgently and give me the latest update as to the status of my matter.

I HAVE SUBMITTED MY CLAIM FOR THE WITHDRAWAL OF MY BENEFITS FRO MIBFA, I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THE I.D. COPY IS NOT CLEAR AND THIS IS WITHHOLDING PAYMENT. THE CERTIFIED COPY THAT I HANDED IN AT THE MIBFA WITBANK(EMALAHLENI) BRANCH WAS AS CLEAR AS THE DOCUMENT I.D. DOCUMENT ITSELF. I FAIL TO UNDERSTAND WHY THIS IS WITHOLDING PAYMENT. LEGAL ACTION IS THE ONLY RECOURSE THAT I HAVE TO GET THIS PAID OUT.

Pension calculated inaccurately - payment stopped

I have applied for my Pension withdrawal in the middle of 2016. In November 2016 I received confirmation from Joyce Moerane that I will receive my first pension at the end of December 2016. Since I did not receive it, I contacted the MIBFA offices on numerous occassions - Joyce on leave... The callcentre contacted me back after a week, saying that the pension was wrongly calculated (a fault on their side) and now the whole process should start again. When trying to contact them to start everything again, they just take messages and don't return your call.

This is unacceptable as I am relying on this income.

Hi, I applied for my provident fund benefit in September 2015, in December I called in MIBFA and was told I will receive my money before end of the year, I started calling weekly for the next 6 months until I was referred to a Supervisor who said that my claim was stopped since I started contributing again. I told them I need the money and they told me resubmit my application since I was no longer working again, I resubmitted on 20 July 2016 & upto now I am calling everyday only to be told the same story that you will receive the payment. SURPLUS OF DECEASED

Good day
My dad passed away in may 2015, I filled out application forms for his Surplus and Pension in August 2015. Payout for Pension was paid out in December 2016. Then in April 2016 i received a letter and statement for his Surplus to be paid out and was informed about the required documentation. In April 2016, I gathered and sent all requested documentation via e-mail and registered post. I have been doing follow ups on a regular basis and each time I am informed that it is in progress.... In July 2016, I was informed that I will receive a call by end of July 2016 to confirm proof of certain information and payout will be made. I am being told to call back 2 weeks later to 4 weeks and each time I call they have the same story that everything is still processing. By now the frustration has been building up. Apparently I cannot speak to anybody in the death claim department, and apparently that is where the documents are, but nothing is being done. It has been escalated several times and till now, still nothing. They even flagged me on their system as being rude!!!
It is December 2016, and up to now, empty promises have been made and no contact from MIBFA have received, unless I call them.

I am also being told that there is a backlog, but honestly, that is not my problem. If they do their work as they should, then everything should run smoothly, and many of us will have no reason to beg for claims which are legally ours and left by our loved ones.

MIBFA Surplus Fund Payout

I made a claim for my payout in early 2014 submitted all the documents about 5 times - they must have received all the document to have opened the file to allocate a case number etc. Then received bank mandate for completion in 2015 after many many phone calls to them. Since then nothing - last call to them at end of October 2016 lady confirmed all documentation and payout will be done at the end of November - called again first week December - reply we don't have all your documents so payment cannot be made - on 6 December documents were again delivered to their office in Johannesburg - we have signed confirmation so it will be interesting to see if payment will now be forthcoming. NO CO-ORPAATION FROM MIBFA STAFF

I'm also a victim of the MIBFA system or staff, call it it what u like. My late husband applied for his surplus benefits June 2015. WE only received the documents to complete on the 30 November 2015. Yes a month and 5 days after he passed away due to cancer. I also did spend Hundreds of rands calling MIBFA, but yet no joy.The excuse lately for the past 4 months is they are calculating the interest. My goodness a 1 year old knows how to work a calculator, But hell they dont, the amount due to me is less than R25 000. So now I'm asking myself, on wait merit was the agents appointed. Cause the clearly need to go back to school and their parents, cause they have no empathy and a lack of manners. My dog have better manners. I'm just wondering what is their purpose there, its definitely not to assist the people claiming their rightful money. They are running a circus. Its not a call center, they are definitely not rendering a service. It takes u forever if you call them to get through, by the time you do get through, they treat you as if they are doing u a favor by taking some of their precious time to answer your call and to pretend to listen to you. Due to them I had to sell some of my stuff to cover the funeral costs cause they are taking there time to assist or should I say not assist the public.

MIBFA Surplus

Good day

Please assist I've applied for my deceased husbands pension in 2015 on 09 April. My reference number they gave me was SUR013. I've since gone to the offices on numerous times being sent all over for the correct documentation, all has been submitted and now I've been told that they are busy calculating the interest on my claim since September. On Saturday 28 October they said I should give it 2 weeks and come back again, I've been there on 19 November again and they took my number claiming they will call me back to confirm when my money will be paid out. I'm a pensioner who struggles to walk and stays in Vanderbijlpark which means I need to travel every time. This morning I called once again and the same answer was given call back in 3 weeks time.

Please help me....

MIBFA PENSION

Is there anybody in the service of MIBFA that will be able & willing to assist with the payout of my pension? I need my pension very badly for medical treatment. My name is JOHANNES KLUIN ID NO : 440524 5045 080

I submitted my forms 8 months ago. Everytime I phone to enquire I got told that I must submit PROOF OF RESIDENCE, CERTYIFIED COPY OF ID SIGNED TWICE & BANK STATEMENT. I have submitted these documents about a 100 times by now. If a person try to complain MIBFA staff just drop the phone in your ear. Than you must phone again & start explaining all over again just to get put off again. Can anybode just tell the public exactly wha6t is going on in the MIBFA pension fund offices? I do not know about 1 single person that got assisted by your staff. We are thousand of people that wait for our pension fund. If a person dare ask why do you have to submit the same docs again & again & again you get told that MIBFA has the right to req it as many times as they want too. Please can anyone just stand up in the MIBFA offices to adhere to the public & help us to get our pensions paid out?

I must go for an operation in the beginning of Dec 2016 but I must put down an amount before I can be submitted. PLEASE who can I address for assistance or any kind of help? Your staff are rude & seems to have no training that s working in your offices. I beg you on my knees to help me to have my pension in time for my operation & treatment. Many thanks. I am fedup with mibfa I have applied almoste 3 years back for my surplus every time they say send copy of id in coulour 6 times and still nothing back from them i even registered mail it but still nothing and the call centre agents are so rude and full of them selves its a disgrace how they speak to people and I really dont think they know what they doing so im fed up with this poor service pissed off and i singed a letter giving my wife approval on my queries but stil they dont wane help im fed up they are fast to take your money but giving it back takes for ever

pension fund not paid

Hereby I Andries F. Jansen, ID 8104255095087, works at Vulcania Reinforcing Company (Pty) Ltd situated in Brakpan from March 2014 up to date. I want to know where my contributions are going that are deducted from my salary every month. I have asked the Human Resources department and they told me that they cannot give me a statement I must contact MIBFA for a statement.

On 25th October 2016 I have contacted MIBFA and they had confirmed that my last payment was made in October 2015. Nothing else was received up to date. My deductions are on my pay sheet every month.

My question is where are my deductions going to if the company deduct it from my salary every month but are not paying it over to the relevant parties?

and why don't mibfa queries if the company stops paying and if you queries mibfa sends you this back im going to the paper please see email attached
Just to inform you that I will not leave it here I’m going to take it further to the pepper and a lawyer because you as a pension company don’t follow up on companies that don’t pay their pension fund and if a person queries you can’t help them so for what are you there definitely not to help an employee and im definly putting this story in daily sun as I have all the proof of how we are struggling to get information out of this company.

Hi my name is Stefan the surplus fund phone me to come and do my claims money in Marchall str in JHB.I did went there and we did all the paper work,they gave me a paper with the amount that must be paid out to me and said i must phone them back in two weeks on this number 0861504455 to find out for the payout date,they said im on the system and must call back in two weeks.Now when i phone them for the last six weeks all they say is that they wait for the supervisors signature,i must phone back in two weeks,HOW CAN IT TAKE SO LONG FOR A SIGNATURE,PLEASE I NEED HELP

Payment of Benefits

I applied in early 2014 for the benefits of my late husband, A.H. Warren- 580627 5115 082. I received a letter from Metal Industries Provident Fund, dated 2015-01-28, acknowledging receipt of my application. In July 2015, I was advised to open a late estate account as payment was due to be made. I was also sent a bank mandate form to complete. On the 13th of July 2015 a late estate account was opened. I received a letter from MIBFA dated 2016-01-25, with surplus statements and bank mandate form to be completed and returned via post to MIBFA. To date I received no payment and it is costing me to keep the late estate account opened as well as to make calls regarding my claim. I am a pensioner and it is becoming increasingly difficult to make ends meet. Each time I call, I am told that my claim is ready for payout and to call back every 2 weeks to check. Payout

Hi I wanna know if its possible for a minor to get a payout before he reaches 18? Cos now my brother is 18 n my mom went to your offices a year ago to claim on his behalf in order to buy him school uniform,and she was told they have already payed out his shares. I still don't understand how and why, could you please help me understand this cos um confused.

In 2014 I sent my application to claim my provident fund just to be told it was never received. I have since re-sent my application twice. I have posted and hand delivered. How is this possible??????

Unpaid mibfa surplus

I have applied for my surplus in 2012 last year I went to query from January and in May I received a phone call to say my application was approved and they wanted confirmation about my banking details. My details was changed and I went to the bank with a form from mibfa. I went the Saturday morning to submit the documents and was told that the bank mandate form was incorrect. I got a new form and went to the bank to complete and went back to mibfa. After two weeks I phoned and were told to just fax a copy of my I'd signed twice and the money will be released. After 3 weeks I received an sms that my signature did not match my application in June;July and August the same thing went to the police station certified the id document again signed twice .Today 14 October I phoned and spoke to Ray Raymond and asked him how is it possible all these years I have signed the same and now it differs.he went to speak to his supervisor Tsidiso and he said that it's not my signature but my barcoded id that does not scan.I told them that I went to vote with my I'd opened a bank account this year no problem. I went to their office again for them to scan my I'd and they will release the payments. The supervisor Pumzile spoke in her language and said how can Raymond tell me to get my I'd scanned as they have no scanners there. SHE told me to submit another copy of my I'd and if this does not work in have to go to home affairs to get another id .those agents that sit there are rude and it is if they pay you the money out of their pockets. There is such alot of unemployed people that want to work and those arrogant lazy agents does not want to help.even if you phone they drop the call after you hold on for 15 to 20 minutes. THEIR SERVICE IS POOR.I have read all above complaints and it seems we are heading to a dead end.I hope someone out there will help [email protected]
